Big congratulations to Wilson Lumber's own Nathan Massey! He is celebrating five years with our company. When I got the alert that his five year anniversary was coming up, I was like "this can't be right." Because his cultural influence is so impactful at Wilson, I figured it had to be a mistake and he had actually been here much longer (not that 5 years is insignificant by any means). Nathan is the perfect example of prioritizing and holding on to the cultural fits in your company. When you get yourself a Nathan Massey, don't let him go. It's been five years, but feels like twenty. Congrats Nathan! Wilson Lumber Company is lucky to have you on our team.

Thank you for the glowing review! We're thrilled Alan and Charles provided exceptional service. We appreciate your recognition. “Hey Alan and Charles did an outstanding job. Very professional and have never in my life have met such great employees. I was in construction and building for 30 years and I do not often leave reviews. These guys are that good.” - Adam Eisenbeil Write a review here: https://bit.ly/3sVXyCp

For the last several years I've facilitated strategic planning work for the AGC of Kansas during their annual board retreat. The construction industry (trades, crafts and related) continues to face nearly insurmountable hurdles in a number of areas. And yet every year I watch this board gather and work tirelessly to think more broadly, message more intently, recruit more widely, and develop more professionally. It is astounding the passion and tenacity they bring to the table every year. I grew up experiencing the great American road trip every summer. Roads (that someone built) taking me to small towns and big cities (that someone built) to see and do cool things (that someone built) making memories that last a lifetime. Then I'd go back to school (that someone built) and share all about my travels that included quirky hotels with fun kid pools and themed restaurants and miniature golf and fancy museums and massive amusement parks and huge zoos and quaint movie theaters and ice cream parlors and t-shirt stores and knickknack shops (that someone all built). May we never lose sight of what builders build. And may we rise up the next generation of great crafters. M.G. Every month Creekside is going to celebrate the amazing team we have by showcasing one of our team members. October's team member spotlight is an amazing Superintendent, Phil! He has been a valued member of the Creekside team for 6 years. Phil is a master at detail-oriented work and always brings a positive attitude to the jobsite. Let's learn a little bit more about Phil... Q: How many years in the construction industry? A: I have been in the construction industry for about 38 years. Q: What do you love/enjoy about the field? A: I love that it is challenging, you are always learning something new and meeting new people. Q: What is one of your favorite things to do on your weekends? A: One of my favorite things to do on the weekends is ride my bike to the farmers market or to the park to read a book. Q: If you had a superpower what would it be? A: I would want to be able to communicate with animals. Q: What is the worst fashion decision you ever made? A: That would be the camo parachute pants or the purple corduroy bell bottoms I had in third grade, although they seemed quite hip at the time.
