🤯 𝗠𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 & 𝗔𝗪𝗦 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜/𝗠𝗟 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 Wow, day 2 of AWS re:Invent is in the books. What was going on? 🎤 Another keynote, this time by Adam Selipsky. I got to admit, I'm still confused about the content of this keynote, but it's understandable to talk about (gen) AI and ML when you look at all the buzz around it. Let's delve into another hot take 🔥: in my personal perspective, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has consistently maintained its leadership in the AI & ML domain and never lost it. Why? A glance at their extensive portfolio reveals longstanding services such as Comprehend, Kendra, Sagemaker, and more, most of them thriving for over 5 years. Looking at Bedrock, AWS once again asserts its dominance. The ability to select a Large Language Model (LLM) from a diverse array of vendors or open-source projects is a testament to their leadership. It's remarkably user-friendly - a one-stop shop! Amazon stands strong in its distinctive approach, and I genuinely appreciate it! 👋 At times, I find it challenging to be social, but I've come to appreciate the joy of (re-)connecting with others. From a personal growth perspective, I've noticed significant strides in my ability to engage with people, and it brings me immense happiness. Experiencing recognition and appreciation is a feeling that eluded me for such a long time, so sensing all these positive vibes here in Vegas and at the conference is truly satisfying. A big shout out goes to everybody out there that I've spoken to today. I appreciated you - a lot! 🤗 ⛳ The day wrapped up with a special invitation from PCG Germany to TopGolf – a sincere shout-out to Patrick Dietrich for orchestrating the event and to PCG for the gracious invitation. Exhaustion had set in, and I was almost dozing off on a comfy couch while observing others partake in a round of golf. 😁 🌱 Highlight of the day: seeing a lego showcase city completely based on renewable energy (see video). Somebody decided that this metric was the right one to measure and it usually carries certain bias about who collected and how they collected and interpreted it." If you don't use genAI models in your day-to-day then you're wasting time! Yes, I said it. As an example...I wanted to compare the pricing of all Amazon Bedrock models in a concise, clean manner...so I asked Bedrock's Claude 3 to do the dirty work for me and you can see what it came up with in the first comment...It's great! I've done some verification of the data and don't see hallucinations so if you notice any please let me know. #AWS #amazon #claude3 #genAI

Numbers don't lie - do they? (take a minute to watch the video beneath) I had to stop scrolling when I saw the panelist talking about the difference between data and truth. Very often figures can grab our attention and lead us to instant conclusions (usually confirming beliefs we already hold) but in reality data only tells us what it tells us. I'm reminded of the international corruption indexes, that in reality don't measure the actual extend of corruption. It would be impossible to measure since no-one willingly admits every corrupt deed to pollsters. Instead they measure the degree of perceived corruption in a given country. We should therefore be careful what we conclude from such an index. Instead, when faced with eye-catching data we need to ask ourselves, What does the data suggest? Why was this metric chosen and by whom? and crucially, What does it not say / say nothing about? Good luck out there friends
