EthCC is all about collaboration and working together. And in the spirit of this, we wanted to show some love to our dev community! This year we are offering the possibility for certain projects to bring in their DevRels and Dev teams so attendees can come by and ask questions, build on their tools and connect with likeminded community members. This is Enigma: a one-stop-shop for your favourite protocols and Web3-related projects, hosted throughout the four days of EthCC[7]. Curated by the EthCC community, for EthCC builders, this experience will be located on the top floor of the EthCC venue. Through a community vote, we want to use this great space to invite four of the top protocols to come help build tomorrow's best projects. Enigma will be a place for experts to provide tech support, onboarding or pro tips to build with their product - but we need your help to determine who will be chosen! Voting will open on June 12 and will close on June 21 and submissions will be accepted via Typeform. From there, the winning projects will be selected and invited to join us for EthCC[7]. We’re thrilled to kick off this experiment with the community, and we’re excited to see how you help us shape this experience! Happy voting! 🗳️

🌟 Thrilled to announce that our team is a finalist at the ETHGlobal Brussels Hackathon! Our project, AdFHE, is an FHE-based personalized advertising protocol designed to display relevant ads while safeguarding user confidentiality. 🏆 We also won 3 prizes from partners: • Fhenix - Best Use of Fhenix Stack 3rd place • Hyperlane - Best Use of Hyperlane • The Graph - Best New Subgraph 3rd place 🔍 The Problem For ads, search engines and social media platforms store our data on their servers. This means these companies know a lot about us, compromising our privacy and control over personal information. 🗝 Our Solution AdFHE leverages fully homomorphic encryption, a technology that allows computations to be performed on encrypted data without decrypting it. This means your data stays under your control, without relying on third-party providers to store and manage it centrally. 🖋 Architecture Encrypted computation takes place in the Fhenix, where users' encrypted information is stored. All computations are performed on this encrypted data, ensuring that no one knows any user's preferences or which ads they are matched with. Advertisers can pay and publish their ads on any L2 network. After payment, we use Hyperlane to message the new ad to Fhenix. Additionally, we utilize Subgraph to index and query Ad and Advertiser data, ensuring efficient and secure operations. 🔜 We’re excited to keep building on our AdFHE project! This isn't just a hackathon project—we're committed to transforming personalized recommendations. 🔗 Curious to learn more about AdFHE? Highlight of the day at #XCH23 has to be Amanda Brock from the OpenUK giving a tour of the world of Open Source. I for one didn’t understand the real extent open source has permeated its way across all parts of the digital world; the benefits, risks, economic impact, legal ramifications, and opportunities. An area we should all know more about in our industry and now on my learning to do list. #opensource #openuk

CodeYourFuture was awarded a global WSIS prize. We recently shared that CodeYourFuture was honoured as a WSIS 2024 Champion. Before next week's ceremony, we wanted to share more details on how significant this particular prize is. WSIS is the World Summit on the Information Society. This United Nations summit brings together groups from different countries to discuss issues related to information and communication technologies. The WSIS Prizes is a unique global platform to identify and showcase success stories (like ours!) in implementing the WSIS Action Lines and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Out of over 1,000 projects nominated worldwide and 2 million public votes cast, CodeYourFuture's programme was selected as a WSIS Prize 2024 Champion in the e-employment category. Some other projects in our category are from governments and global telecoms: https://lnkd.in/eJpcwRdV This is a massive win. For the community and all of our supporters. Thank you for everything you do. We’ll let you know how the Summit goes next week. Also, we don't need to tell any of you that it's a challenging time in tech. If you are hiring or know someone who is, this is a reminder to tell them about us. Maybe show them this post? #techforgood #technology #sustainabledevelopmentgoals
