It's hard to keep me to only a minute talking about anything, so if you want proof it's possible or (preferably) are interested in IOL inserters, then please watch the below!
How can you design an IOL inserter at volume that gives surgeons confidence they’ll get safe and efficient delivery? We gave Catherine Wyman, our Head of Eyecare, 60 seconds to describe the hardest areas of design. Find out how tackling these challenges head-on can save pain later down the line. To find out more, connect with us at The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) Winter Meeting in Frankfurt next week. #ESCRS2024 #eyecare #IOL

The future ?
We're happy to announce that the first article on SP robotic subcostal major pulmonary resection using da Vinci SPS was published recently (World J Surg. 2024;1-10). This new procedure may provide improved cosmetic outcomes and postoperative pain relief. With the continuous development of robotic technology and surgical techniques, we believe that more complex general thoracic surgeries will be performed in the future using SPS, allowing more patients to benefit from SPRATS.

Dr. Matthew Kroh and Dr. Andrew Strong have pioneered the use of the MARS system by Levita Magnetics in the world's first commercial cases at Cleveland Clinic following its FDA approval. MARS, standing at the forefront of surgical innovation, aims to redefine abdominal procedures with its user-centric design. As Dr. Kroh notes, its impact resonates with healthcare institutions, surgeons, and, notably, patients. What makes MARS unique? It employs a blend of magnets and mechanical systems to reduce incision sizes while granting surgeons meticulous control in laparoscopic operations. The benefits are manifold: quicker recovery, diminished pain, and less scarring, with a reduced reliance on additional surgical assistance. Leveraging Levita's Dynamic Magnetic Positioning technology, MARS adapts to a range of surgeries, from bariatric to colorectal, fitting effortlessly into existing operating rooms across the globe. Levita Magnetics' CEO, Dr. Alberto Rodriguez-Navarro, sees a transformative horizon, stating, "We are leading a significant shift in high-volume minimally invasive abdominal surgery." MARS has the power to empower surgeons, enhance patient outcomes, and reduce incisions—a remarkable advancement in surgical robotics! #MARSRobot #SurgeryInnovation #MinimallyInvasiveSurgery #FutureOfHealthcare #Healthcare For more details, you can read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/g7TchGTm

Over the next week, more than 1,800 physicians will gather here for #IntuitiveConnect2024. It’s called Connect for a reason. The difficult and important work of advancing minimally invasive care must be collaborative. How can we use innovative technology to solve problems without first understanding what they are? Without first connecting with physicians from across geographies and specialties? Without first knowing their challenges and hearing their stories? Tomorrow, we Connect. Today, we set up the systems hall. If you look closely, you might spy da Vinci 5—the most advanced robotic-assisted surgical system we’ve ever built. Get ready to transform surgery together. Again. #WeAreIntuitive
