What kind of paddle should I use for pickleball?? If you are new/beginner it doesn't matter too much but getting quality materials does matter. I like Selkirks carbon fiber paddles. The SLK EVO 2.0 is only $100 is a great starter paddle. The SLK Halo is $140 - classic black and tan I love for singles or doubles. Great for beginners through advanced. Use the 14 mm if you want more power and 16mm if you are working on control. Tennis players often like the longer handle to allow space for their two handed backhand. The Selkirk LUXX is the hot new toy EVERYONE wants has great grit and spin :) sells for $250. Even though I'm currently crap at pickleball, I play it cause it makes me happy. But that's the beauty of a passion right? You love it even when you lose. Pinball machines have fascinated me ever since I was a young kid. I started playing with my brother, each on one side of the machine. Pinball machines have disappeared from most restaurants and bars over time, as they require a lot of space and maintenance, but I still know where to find some in my hometown Amsterdam. The first pinball machine was built in the 19th century and the game has developed over time. Flippers were added in 1947 and the multi-ball feature was first introduced in 1956. Modern machines are loaded with technology, but vintage machines have become increasingly popular. Playing pinball brings out my competitive nature. I will either try to beat whoever I am playing against, and if playing alone would try to beat the high score. Features of the pinball machine apply to day-to-day challenges in our work environment as well. Let us look at some of those. Multitasking: For all the scheduling, prioritizing, and planning, there will always be numerous tasks and action points competing for your attention at the same time. Just like the multiball feature of many pinball machines. Normally three balls, but the Apollo 13 from Sega has the largest multiball mode with thirteen balls. To maximize your score, you will need to keep track of several balls at the same time. The higher the number of balls, the more complicated the challenge. Stress resistance: Pinball machines have built in mechanisms that prevent excessive nudging, known as “tilt.” The tilt function, once activated, will lock the flippers and with it end your turn. When trying to achieve your goals and ambitions, you need to find a balance that works for everyone. Push too hard and you or your team will go in tilt mode. Don’t push at all, and you won’t get the optimal outcome. VUCA world: When playing the game, you will have to deal with bumpers and kickers that will push the ball in different directions. Often not exactly where you expected it to go. Operating in globalized and competitive markets will produce a similar playing field.
