Hey all, big leadership news at Zeus Jones: When we started ZJ in 2007 we set out to do things differently – both in the work we do and in how we get that work done. Over the years we've had a few different org models as we've grown and our work has changed - but all of them have been mostly-flat and been free of formal titles, departments and reporting structures. This approach has served us well in a lot of ways. It has allowed everyone here to have impact on what we do regardless of their seniority or area of focus. We have grown, changed and generally kicked ass because everyone has a voice, and everyone adds value. The past couple years we've been building a new Zeus Jones - the one that will take us to 2027 (our 20th birthday) and beyond. We've sharpened our offerings, upped our ambitions and re-imagined our brand. We've launched two new businesses - Hellen and Demos - making us an ecosystem of companies all making impact together. Most importantly, we've been asking ourselves what kind of leadership is needed to meet our vision, and how to structure that leadership. We arrived at a model that is different for us, but super exciting. It's centered around formal leadership for each of our core capabilities, along with an Ecosystem Leadership Team responsible for unified vision and execution. Over the next few weeks I want to introduce everyone to these new leadership teams, and I want to start with our new Ecosystem Leadership Team. Beginning now, three of the Zeus Jones partners will join me on this team. And for the first time in ZJ history these roles will have formal titles. They are: Beth Larson, Chief Operating Officer - Beth has been the chief architect of our operations for a long time and her new role as COO with formalize this and put her incredible talent to work on our next evolution and our entire ecosystem of businesses. Elsa Perushek, Chief Strategy Officer - Elsa is a visionary thinker and business leader who has led the creation of IP and been instrumental in the launch of our membership consultancy Hellen. Her role as CSO is to continue keeping us ahead in our thinking and our understanding of the future. Amanda Zweerink, Chief Growth Officer - Amanda has been leading client relationships and new business for many years and this new role formalizes her focus on these things across everything we do and all the different capabilities we offer. In addition to the new Ecosystem Leadership Team, other Zeus Jones partners and leaders will take on Managing Director roles for Zeus Jones’ key capabilities. Over the next few weeks I'll be posting more about each of these capabilities and the full picture of the teams leading them. I feel incredibly lucky to get to come to work everyday with the smartest people I've ever known, and I am extremely psyched to be working with all these brilliant people on the next version of Zeus Jones. Participants in the ninth annual PE #leadership survey conducted by  AlixPartners generally agree that the most important thing they can do to achieve the financial results they demand is to pay attention to leadership and #talent. AlixPartners noted six kinds of actions that together can elevate leadership practices with an eye specifically on quickly increasing enterprise value. 3. Deliver regular metrics on human capital progress. ‘If human capital is part of the deal thesis, then there should be key performance indicators, reports, and discussions as parts of routine communication between owners and managers.
