How did an 11-year-old's curiosity spark 14 years of social innovation? 🧐 Celebrating 14 years at the Gdańska Fundacja Innowacji Społecznej this month! 🎉 Join me in commemorating this milestone! My journey began in 1996, when I was 11yo and stumbled upon a poster for a local after-school club Nowiny 7. Back then, there wasn't much to do for kids in my neighborhood. No activities, no playgrounds, no sports fields. Only a dirty carpet beater in a gray courtyard. The club has became my gateway to a whole new world. 🌟 Guided by the dedicated team, with amazing Marianna and Piotr Wróblewski 🙏, who have been my leaders, friends, and role models throughout , I transitioned from a participant to a volunteer and a youth leader. 🙌 Pursuing my passion further, I embarked on university studies in Kraków to enhance my skills in helping others. 🎓 Returning to work alongside inspiring colleagues like Przemek Kluz and Małgorzata Gojło-Kaligowska at the foundation has profoundly shaped my career path and work ethic. 💪❤️ Grateful for the incredible individuals I've met on this journey, each playing a significant role in my growth and development, to many to list them all. 🙏 With 14 years under my belt, I look forward to the continued impact we can create together. Have you ever considered the double-edged sword of AI in education? I am thrilled to share that I have recently completed my participation in the extraordinary project, "Navigating Truth: AI. Challenges and Solutions for Education," led by TechSoup Polska . This two-week learning journey was not only enlightening but also incredibly impactful. As AI technology advances, it presents both opportunities to combat disinformation and challenges in generating misleading content. Throughout this program, I gained invaluable insights into this complex dynamic, learning practical strategies to foster critical thinking and digital literacy in my community. 🚀 Our Seniors from Orunia are Raising Funds for a Plotter! 🎨 Just 410 PLN needed! Mr. Remigiusz explains: "(...), I draw. 🖌️ I use a German program for drawing, engraving, and burning called 'GRBL Plotter'. This program works with Inkscape, Corel, and many other vector programs. It also supports bitmap graphics. (...)" I have the pleasure of coordinating senior programs in Gdańsk Foundation for Social Innovation and I am very proud of our senior community working at Gościnna Przystań. The plotter will be essential for mini technical workshop and the planned sessions with young people. But what exactly can you do with a plotter?
