🎓 Exciting News: Officially a University of Manchester Alumna! 🌍 Dear LinkedIn community, I am thrilled to announce the successful completion of my journey at the prestigious University of Manchester, where I have earned my Master of Science in International Development with a focus on Politics, Governance, and Development Policy! 🎉 Throughout my academic pursuit, the program's rigorous curriculum has provided me with a solid theoretical foundation, equipping me with a nuanced understanding of the intricate dynamics shaping global development. The blend of theoretical knowledge, ranging from political theories to governance structures and development policies, has been instrumental in broadening my perspective and deepening my insight into the challenges and opportunities that characterize the development landscape. Having previously gained practical experience from working in the field, the MSc program provided me with a valuable lens to critically examine and contextualize my hands-on experiences. The theoretical frameworks and academic discourse have allowed me to draw meaningful connections between abstract concepts and the real-world intricacies of development. The dichotomy between theory and practice has prompted critical reflections on the effectiveness of certain development models, the role of governance structures, and the ethical considerations inherent in development interventions. This was in fact at the heart of my dissertation topic as reflected on the questions I carried with me from my experience. As I step back into the professional sphere as a development practitioner, I carry with me not just a degree but a holistic perspective shaped by the a constant reminder of how important a synergy of theory and practice can be. Such integrated approach is invaluable as it enables us to navigate the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of global development with a nuanced understanding of both the ideal and the real. I extend my gratitude to the The University of Manchester,my amazing professors at the Global Development Institute, and the Chevening Awards for this enriching academic experience. This also wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of my family, friends, and professional network who believed in me and encouraged me to take this important step in my career.
