As cities densify there is so much to learn from projects that didn’t reach their full potential. Our studies show that Docklands is one of the least walkable areas in Melbourne (not least of which is because the blocks are too big), but also density without daily living amenities is ‘high density sprawl’. Important we remember this for Australian ‘burbs’ - higher density should ensure residents live with walkable distances to PT and everything needed for daily living - there are already plenty of examples of high density without local amenities - STOP go back - we are going the wrong way! 1moGrowing up in a household that my entire childhood was filled with the smell of coffee cake and the sounds of tiles banging against each other, and the words and numbers, other symbols and occasional joker - being announced one by one at a table of 4 women - “4 bam 2 crack , Red Dragon “…. This makes my heart happy! Working with Explore Brookhaven - and a community that brings people together locally and from a distance. The [arts and]cultural background of what we experience can help build dialogue and create more impact than we realize. The history of Mah Jongg has many many deep rooted stories from the Far East of Asia . My story is that of a different direction—Eastern Europe; grandmothers (on both sides) learned in the tenements of Philadelphia and they taught their daughters and so on . So I better get on it and teach my daughters… More importantly, excited to see the Brookhaven themed Mah Jongg Travel Cards. Thank you Rocket Mahjong for this fun collaboration.
