Maximizing the End-of-Life Value of Mattresses At Junk Rescue Pinellas, we are frequently asked, "How can I donate my used mattress?" 🌲 885 trees planted, 1420 m2 of land reforested, 97 tonnes of CO₂ absorbed! As you may remember, instead of sending Christmas cards we decided to donate to One Tree Planted – a non-profit organisation that focuses on global reforestation. We're pleased to tell you that we've made the donation and 885 trees will be planted in the Andes – an area in serious need of reforestation. 🌲 885 trees will ensure that approximately 1420 m2 of land is reforested. These trees will absorb around 97 tonnes of CO₂ throughout their lifetime. Tree-mendous! 🌲 #sustainability #socialresponsibility

S-E-A is going green in April to celebrate #EarthMonth!   We are often witness to the aftermath of catastrophes that have an outsized impact on our environment. Hurricanes, wildfires and environmental accidents, to name a few, along with deforestation, destroy large swaths of our planet’s jungles and forests each year. This is why we are excited to bring back our One Matter. One Tree. campaign.   Working with a non-profit organization that focuses on deforestation, for each case submitted from April 1st through the 30th, S-E-A will donate funds to plant a tree. One matter, one tree.   We’re excited to give back for Earth Month through this initiative by helping to make our world a bit greener.

We're ready to continue tackling the challenges facing our rivers and streams in the new year. What will your support help us do in 2024? ☀️ Respond to Drought – we are developing a more comprehensive and standardized approach to boost flows for salmon when drought conditions strike. 🐟 Restore flows for fish – we are increasing flow for salmon, steelhead, and other species in key watersheds, including the Chehalis, Okanogan, and Walla Walla. 🌱 Develop New Sustainable Water Sources – we will partner with at least four farms for recycled water demonstration gardens, exploring this innovative water source as a sustainable alternative to Sammamish River water. 🌊 Advance Major Projects – we are finalizing projects that will protect more than 1 billion gallons of water instream in places like Icicle Creek and the Little Klickitat River. Thank you to everyone who helped us meet our recent $15,000 fundraising goal. A Board member will now match an additional $5,000 in donations made or pledged to WWT through New Year’s Day.
