The American flag is flying over our Twin Ridges wind farm in Pennsylvania this Independence Day. We recently announced that the site's repowering project is underway, utilizing components manufactured in the USA by Vestas and constructed on-site by White Construction LLC. Have a fun and safe Fourth of July!

So interesting using water for these projects!
As one of the Northeast's largest independent suppliers of energy products and services, Sprague presents a highly advantageous alternative for Maine’s floating offshore wind port at Mack Point Terminal. Our plan offers: ✅ Leverages 20 years of onshore wind component handling. ✅ Preserves 100 acres of Sears Island habitat while co-existing with gulf wildlife. ✅ 85% reduction in dredging from original plan and quicker path to permitting. Developed with a marine engineering firm, our proposal aligns with Maine’s environmental goals by utilizing already developed industrial areas, maximizing natural water depths, minimizing wetlands impact, and ensuring a seamless transition to support offshore wind development. We strongly urge the State of Maine to reconsider the Sears Island site choice and recognize the significant benefits of our environmentally responsible Mack Point plan. Join us in supporting a sustainable future with minimal ecological impact. 🌊 EVENT: GUH Moorings and Anchors Conference & Workshop 📅 Wednesday, 06 March 2024 🕣 08:30 – 16:30 📍 The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle Major investment is set to be made in developing floating offshore wind in UK waters in the coming decades. To deliver this, thousands of anchors, lengths of chain, buoyancy units and clump weights will be required alongside thousands of kilometres of rope. Next month, Global Underwater Hub will host a one-day conference and workshop focused on the key elements of the life cycle of mooring and anchoring systems that will be needed to meet the planned investment in floating offshore wind, not just in the UK, but also overseas. Taking place in Newcastle, this event will bring together key industry stakeholders to discuss underwater mooring and anchoring systems. If you are involved in floating offshore wind, or designing, manufacturing, transporting, installing, inspecting, repairing and maintaining mooring and anchoring systems, this conference and workshop is a must attend event. An excellent line-up of speakers will present at the event, including representatives of InterMoor, Bridon-Bekaert The Ropes Group, Delmar Systems, DOF, First Marine Solutions, Flotation Energy, Global Maritime, Ossian Wind Farm, PGS, SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies and Global Underwater Hub. Book your place and be part of the discussion around this important area of underwater engineering. 💻 Full details: https://lnkd.in/eKN8z3wP #GUHMoorings #GlobalUnderwaterHub #GUHEvents #Newcastle #MooringsandAnchors #offshorewind #floatingoffshorewind #floatingsystems #moorings #floatingwind #underwaterengineering #Newcastlevents #offshorerenewables

Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. represents Long Beach Township, Beach Haven, Ship Bottom, Barnegat Light, Surf City, Harvey Cedars, Brigantine, and Ventnor City (the Shore Municipalities), as they continue to oppose offshore wind projects that Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind, LLC proposes to build just miles from Long Beach Island and nearby shore towns. In furtherance of those efforts, Pashman Stein filed a public comment letter on behalf of the Shore Municipalities addressing New Jersey Board of Public Utilities’ (BPU) planned fourth solicitation for offshore wind projects to be constructed off the New Jersey coast, which was covered extensively by the press. This letter follows the October 23, 2023 filing of a supplemental comment letter by Pashman Stein on behalf of Long Beach Township, Beach Haven, Ship Bottom, Barnegat Light, Surf City, Harvey Cedars, Brigantine Beach, with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, which is separately considering whether the Atlantic Shores project is consistent with New Jersey’s coastal zone management rules. The initial comment letter was filed with NJDEP on June 29, 2023. To read more about the Shore Municipalities opposition to the offshore wind project, read the Asbury Park Press and Shore News Network articles here: https://zurl.co/vodG
