The process for developing a resilient and reliable energy grid begins with public support and understanding. Texas has been provided with the opportunity to show how this can best be accomplished. The most recent Hurricane demonstrated the need for a grid that is both adaptable and consistent. The need for active communication between large scale utility companies and the communities they serve has never been more needed. It will take entire communities to establish the groundwork of a grid made to last.

Following the devastation of Hurricane Ian, Lee Health sought an #InfrastructureSolution to mitigate future storms' impact on their care.⛑ Working closely with Black & Veatch, a solution was born: the Mobile Disaster Response Unit. 🚍 With resiliency top of mind, redundant power supplies were built into the design of the MDRU so Lee Health can operate independently of the grid when needed. During a six-hour pilot test of the vehicle, all the electricity came directly from the rooftop solar system. 📌Northumberland Villages Face Second Lengthy Broadband Outage Homes🏠 in the tiny rural #Northumberland towns of📍Wallridge and Kirkheaton, as well as other areas, have been informed that it may take up to 3 weeks before their Openreach based phone and #broadband services are fully operational again. It occurs after a two-week blackout that Kirkheaton had in the early months of 2022 during Storm Arwen. Locals find the situation especially distressing because, after the most recent significant outage, several of them apparently received guarantees from MPs and power providers that such lengthy issues would not recur.
