What is GATE ? First things first, let's decode this acronym soup. GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. But don't let the fancy name scare you – it's basically a super cool exam that tests your engineering chops and opens the door to a world of endless possibilities. Why GATE, You Ask? Now, you might be wondering, "Why should I subject myself to hours of brain-busting questions and endless hours of practice?" Well, my friends, let me break it down for you: 1. A good GATE score is helpful for getting admission in to IITs, IISC, IIITs, NITs and many other renowned institutions. 2. GATE qualification is also a minimum requirement to apply for various fellowships awarded by many Government organizations like DRDO, BARC, ISRO etc. 3. Better Placement opportunities after the Mtech Programs. 4. GATE-qualified candidates are eligible for scholarships and fellowships offered by various government agencies, private institutions, and international universities. for more details (http://surl.li/rjxwi) Remember, with determination, practice, and a sprinkle of engineering magic, you can conquer GATE and open doors to a world of endless opportunities. #gate2024 #gateexam #guidance #visiongate #benfits #competitiveexams

Dear fellow panthers & also, non-panthers, Even though there are many super-talented people at Georgia State University, there weren't any goals or communities that could bring them together while also helping students! This organization is my initiative for a positive change that can impact the trajectories of the student community that is interested in technology in general. Why Rocketry? -Rockets are explosives but controlled ones. To control the explosion, guide the rocket to a particular path, and recover them safely, incredible amounts of technology are necessary! - Sophisticated control algorithms, flight software, ground control software, sensors, actuators, and telecommunication systems, to name a few, are the feet of technology that have to be skillfully implemented. This brings unparalleled opportunity for any STEM student to learn and practice their skills in the real world while gaining experience. - Also, rockets are expensive to make–an opportunity for finance students to raise funds in real life. - At any given time, many different teams work on various aspects of a project and this brings team working experiences for all teammates and leadership experiences for the team leaders. - And so on... Our Goals & Vision: - We'll quickly complete the levels 1, 2, and 3 certifications of High Powered Rocketry before this year ends(if things go according to the plan)! - Taking this organization internationally, with IEEE. - Liquid propellant Rocket Engine development. - Developing Rovers for extraterrestrial missions. - Securing private sponsorships. Our current project's GitHub repository is open source as of now: https://lnkd.in/e9J8CjzV Special thanks to Carter Hinsley(Advisor & Mentor) for helping start this wonderful initiative at GSU! Also, thanks to Georgia State University. Best, Varun Ahlawat, President

Ever wondered how a moment of exposure can change someone's entire career path? Luis Zayas' story is proof that where you start doesn't dictate where you'll end up. Coming from a humble background, the world of aerospace engineering was a distant dream, until exposure made it a reality. Here's what we can learn from researchers who didn't let their starting point define their journey: ● Exposure is the spark that ignites passion. Seeing an aerospace engineer in a program was all it took for Luis to find his calling. ● Opportunities are crucial for growth. They provide a glimpse into what could be, empowering individuals to reach for more. ● Accessible education is a game-changer. It's not just about learning; it's about discovering possibilities that were once out of sight. By providing accessible STEM education, we're not just teaching; we're opening doors to the future. We could be inspiring the next genius who will: ⚬ Discover a life-saving cure ⚬ Solve complex engineering puzzles ⚬ Invent materials that revolutionize industries Let's commit to creating opportunities that fuel the potential in each and every individual. Because sometimes, all it takes is a glimpse into a world of possibilities to launch a stellar career. #OrionsQuest #STEMEducation #CareerDevelopment #Innovation #Opportunity #Inspiration

Virginia Commonwealth University’s College of Engineering is expanding academic opportunities for students with the addition of six minors that delve into cutting-edge disciplines. Beginning in the 2024-25 school year, the six new minors – in artificial intelligence, aerospace engineering, nuclear engineering, software engineering, cybersecurity and data science – will emphasize a transdisciplinary approach to engineering and prepare students for the opportunities and challenges in the evolving fields. “As our students enter the workforce, showcasing an interdisciplinary minor relating to industry needs is a huge conversation starter,” Lemza said. “These minors add skills that our employers are looking for and will be a great way for students to show that they’re serious about their career pathway.” #VCU #RVA #richmondva #highereducation #collegesanduniversities #engineeringstudents #interdisciplinarylearning #engineering #datascience #cybersecurity #softwareengineering #artificialintelligence #aerospaceengineering #nuclearengineering #transdisciplinary #studentsuccess

🎓 Excited to share my latest research insights and experiences as an ERAU graduate! This year, I completed my M.S. in Aviation and Aerospace Sustainability, specializing in Aviation Cybersecurity, at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Over the past two years, my research journey has been filled with learning, growth, and a deep passion for the field. I am thrilled to announce that two of my peer-reviewed articles have been published recently. 🔍 In my research journey, securing a mentor was invaluable. ERAU's COMPASS program connected me with the brilliant Dr. Emily Faulconer, who guided me through the intricacies of publishing. Utilizing the VECTOR Virtual Communication Lab was another game-changer, where advisers helped me refine my papers through numerous reviews. Understanding the importance of choosing the right journal, managing rejections, and persisting despite setbacks were key lessons I learned. My recently published article, which initially faced rejection, found its place in a journal that values historical perspectives. 📚 For fellow researchers, I can't stress enough the importance of organization and the right tools. Using software like Zotero to manage references, and platforms like Zenodo for storing datasets, has been crucial. Keeping track of submissions and following up diligently can make a big difference. Creating profiles on ORCID and ResearchGate has also helped showcase my work and connect with the research community. For a deeper dive into my experiences and tips, check out my detailed PDF: Research: Insights and Experiences of an ERAU Student. Let's continue to inspire and support each other in our academic journeys!
