WE ARE HIRING FOR AN EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR!!   Fair Shake Environmental Legal Services is a 501(c)(3) environmental law firm and community empowerment nonprofit that believes that all people and communities should have access to the tools of change and that everyone has the right to make decisions about their air, water, and places where they live, work and play.    POSITION SUMMARY: Fair Shake is seeking high-level administrative and organizational support to the Executive Director and management staff to help advance Fair Shake’s mission in the areas of pro bono representation for the underserved, sliding scale legal services to individual and organizational clients, providing grassroots consulting for community-driven change, and public interest litigation. The candidate for this position will demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, discretion in handling confidential information, excellent communication skills, be a self-starter, and have a capacity for both independent and collaborative work. Additionally, the candidate must be able to demonstrate courtesy, patience, and judgment in working with Fair Shake clients, community supporters, and organizational partners. This position is remote.   DESIRED SKILLS: ·      Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. ·      A willingness to learn new computer programs for legal, development, and organizational administration. ·      Effective communication skills with both internal staff and external clients from diverse backgrounds. ·      Experience in preparing written communications for administrative needs. ·      Dedication to accuracy and error-free work. ·      Demonstrated effectiveness in both independent and collaborative work. ·      A commitment to Fair Shake’s environmental justice mission. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Fair Shake is offering an annual salary of $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience, and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance; a health savings account; life insurance; short and long-term disability insurance; 401(k) plan (after eligibility period); 20-days paid vacation; 10-days sick time; paid parental leave.
