🌱 Celebrating National Houseplant Day! 🌷 ⁉Did you know!?⁉ A NASA experiment found that houseplants like the spider plant, snake plant, and many others, could help remove volatile compounds that pollute the indoor air quality. 1️⃣ Spider Plant - (Chlorophytum elatum) The spider plant can remove harmful indoor air pollutants, such as formaldehyde and benzene emitted by furniture polish, paint thinner, tobacco smoke, detergent aerosols, and air fresheners. 2️⃣ Snake Plant - (Sansevieria laurentii) The snake plant (mother-in-law’s tongue) can help remove toxins such as formaldehyde, CO, benzene, and toluene when grown indoors. Snake plants are easy to grow and maintain as indoor plants and do not need much water to survive. #nationalhouseplantday #airpurification #vocs #toxins #volatilecompounds #indoorplants #houseplants #plants #airquality
