Warning: Toxic Company Alert
🚨 Beware of Toxic Company/School🚨
If you're considering applying, think twice. Despite always hiring, here's what you need to know:
🔴 High Turnover Rate: Employees are constantly leaving due to poor working conditions and lack of support.
🔴 Toxic Environment: Management promotes a culture of fear and intimidation. Constructive feedback is ignored, and favoritism runs rampant.
🔴 Unrealistic Expectations: Employees are overworked and underappreciated. Overtime is expected without proper compensation or recognition.
🔴 Poor Communication: Transparency is nonexistent. Important information is withheld, and there's a severe lack of clear direction.
🔴 No Growth Opportunities: Career advancement is a myth. Promises of promotions and raises are rarely fulfilled.
Protect your well-being and career. Do thorough research and read employee reviews before making a decision. Your mental health and job satisfaction are worth more than any paycheck from a toxic company.
Stay vigilant and prioritize your happiness and professional growth! 🌟

Indeed, something to ponder about.... obviously, if you are not hiring because of constant growth, it could be because of the work culture and environment... because there is consistent attrition... every organization needs to pause and think about the reason why their people are leaving... it could be about policies, about compensation and rewards, or even because of a bad boss...
We are extremely fortunate at #Symbiosis to have a Top Management which is so considerate and people centric... and policies which are employee friendly... when I came back to SIBM Pune after 13 years outside, last year, it was such a good feeling to see so many admin staff still there, who were there in 2010-11... simply great! It means continuity, it means consistency...it means a good work environment.... something that has been nurtured in SIBM Pune, and which reflects the thoughts and principles of our Founder and Chancellor, Dr Mujumdar Sir, and Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar Mam, our Pro Chancellor... something that was also nurtured by Dr Ramakrishnan Raman, my predecessor in Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune and now Vice Chancellor SYMBIOSIS INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY....
It is imperative that every leader does the same, and creates an environment of trust and belonging... I have tried to do this in every Institute where I have held a position of responsibility, and I believe it has worked each time.... the team that is happy, is more productive too!!

Company: "We're a FAMILY!"
/ Plane takes off without "the family" ✈️
Meanwhile in Bora Bora somewhere:
CEO: "We need to cut 50% of the family. Group text on Mon?"
Ok ok, a little hyperbole? Mayyyybe.
But I hope you get where I'm going with this.
Workplace culture is not something you just TALK about.
It's how you invest in your people.
It's how your leaders show up every day.
It's how your team feels every Sunday night.
"Culture" is not a checkbox, it's what will help you really stand out and attract the best talent.
Invest in your people.
And your people will invest in you.
P.S. Speaking of culture, we're hiring!

An inefficient or outdated hiring process can significantly hinder company growth, limiting the ability to attract and onboard the talent necessary for expansion and innovation. Streamlining the process and aligning it with strategic goals is essential.
I get that you want to hire people that can "hit the ground running".
However, insisting candidates have 10 years experience doing exactly the same thing, with the exact same tech/ products, at a "direct competitor" will stifle innovation and creativity.
Hiring someone of high aptitude who's excited and motivated (and meets 50% of the criteria) will lead to different questions, alternate ideas and a fresh perspective.
Hiring someone who's been doing the same thing for 10 years and meets 100% of the criteria (but is bored) will lead to repetition, stagnation and demotivation.
Great people want to be challenged and to learn.
Great management want to develop people, push boundaries and constantly challenge the status quo.
Or you could just be one of those people who's "always done it this way"
Up to you.

Ex-Venture Capital. Now part of a movement to help companies launch top remote teams in Lebanon, from upskilling top talent (see SE Factory) to everything HR (sourcing, EOR, payroll, legal and admin, see HR Factory).
It doesn't matter how good AI gets, human beings will still need to work well together, to form a coherent team in order to achieve results. So it's no wonder that companies are focusing more on hiring for the right attitude and for people who are a cultural fit, as this can help you move faster and provides an edge over competitors.
And this goes double for remote hiring.
