Companies from RCEP countries and China are set to invest RM100 billion in Malaysia over the next 5 years for a digital and green economy transformation through the Ride Madani initiative. 🌐🇲🇾 The Malaysia-China Digital Economy Cooperation Council (MCDC) revealed this groundbreaking announcement at the Pikom Leadership Summit 2023 🤝 The Ride Madani initiative aims for "Three 100s": 100 enterprises forming the Ride Madani Alliance, investing RM100 billion, and nurturing at least 100 young leaders annually. 🌱💡 MCDC has already attracted 20 companies, securing RM2-3 billion in investments, with notable collaborations in dual-currency funds and AI data centers 🇨🇳🇲🇾 The initiative was launched with the support of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and the Ambassador of China to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing. UniVentureX (University Ventures eXchange) a week-long program held from 8–12 January 2024 in Singapore, was highlighted in part by certificates given to university students in an emotional closing ceremony. 🎓🌟 The program was designed and hosted by KILSA Global 🌏 as a part of its Social Impact mission. First Week as a Great Start at Local Project: YouthNorism! From January 8th, 2024 to January 12th, 2024, the inaugural week of the Local Project: YouthNorism by AIESEC in Untan took place. This week focused on participants engaging with materials related to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Economies), as well as exploring both local and international cultures. Regarding SDG 8, participants received insights from national speaker and personal branding practitioner, Mrs. Zata Ligouw, with the agenda "Introduce Our Problem I: Unlocking Economic Growth." For SDG 11, Mrs. Dr. Puti Retno Ali, MBA presented on "Smart Cities, Smarter Economies." As for cultural exchange, participants engaged in national culture swaps with other Local Project participants from AIESEC in Unila and AIESEC in UI in an LC2LC session, as well as international cultural exchanges with AIESEC in Sri Lanka and AIESEC in Thailand in sessions like "Ayubowan to Sawasdee." Additionally, international speakers such as Mr. William Sandy for British culture, Ms. Ina for Chinese culture, Mr. Muhammad Aimar Gimnastyar for French culture, Ms. Misaka Fujie for Japanese culture, and Ms. Dessy Oktavia for American culture delved into cross-cultural discussions in the session "Unlocking Session 5 Cross-Cultural Countries." Beyond the lecture sessions, participants were also trained to enhance their teamwork and critical thinking skills through Focus Group Discussions in the "FGD: Collaborative Solving" agenda. The activities of the first week and the preparation process have molded me into a more developed individual in several aspects, including: - Enhancing my ability to create legally compliant documents in line with organizational regulations (ToR, Proposal, MoM, and LoA) for two national speakers. - Crafting engaging agenda names with well-structured and timed events for the five-day agenda. - Improving my proficiency in using Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. - Analyzing and creating a set of cases for FGDs, totaling five cases related to local economy and tourism. - Professional oral and written communication with speakers and team members, demonstrated through collaboration offers to two national speakers, coordination regarding details in the "Ayubowan to Sawasdee" Talkshow, and coordination on the day of execution with other teams. - Boosting my confidence in attempting collaborations with potential partners. In these five days, I also held responsibilities as Program OC, Agenda PIC, MC PIC, Team PIC, Time Keeper, and MC in one of the agendas. While it may seem like a lot of responsibilities, I thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks to the enthusiasm of OCs and participants actively engaging in the agendas.
