Pricing is hard In the early days, you may be tempted to give your product away for free or to charge less than the value of your time or the raw materials you used. Don’t. In order to stay alive, you need to make money. The only way to do that is not only to charge something, but to charge something that allows you to stay afloat. If you’ve productized, then you’ve already figured out an initial pricing structure for your first customers, and pricing, just like every other part of a business, is subject to iteration. Eventually, the type of customer you have will influence how and how much you charge.

Your checkout page is the last hurdle between your products and your customers. Don't make it a hurdle. You'll be surprised how easily you can lose sales based on a poorly designed checkout page. Some tips to make your checkout page better: 1. Keep your form fields minimal. 2. Use a single column layout. 3. Use action-oriented copy. 4. Show progress bars. 5. Include testimonials. 6. Offer multiple payment options. 7. Make sure it's mobile-friendly. Remember, the checkout page is your last chance to showcase how much you care about your customers. Make it count!

What’s wrong with this pricing page? A client sent me one of their competitor's pricing pages for review. Here are my observations 👇 ❌ Badly designed pricing tiers ❌ Only 1 price point offered – no choice of 3 well designed price plans ❌ Unclear pricing metric - £per month for what? Per user? Per Site? Per Client? ❌ Low price anchor set at £400 (rather than showing a high price anchor to influence value perception) ❌ Misaligned feature ladders (making it hard for the ready to easily compare plans) ❌ Lazy use of the inevitable “Talk to Sales” button (showing no attempt to come up with a proper price plan) ❌ Tons of jargon in the main feature categories (not bothering to explain the benefits) ❌ Too long a list of features, making it hard for the reader to compare plans ❌ Crowded content on the page, making it hard for the reader to assess the overall value. Can you see anything else? (Logo hidden to prevent embarrassment.) I know tech companies can get a bit carried away with these things, but I really hope for their sakes that they are finding a path to growth. We need your help 🙏 We're currently developing a new beta feature for Trezy that will: - Extract all lines from your invoices and receipts. - Compile a list of products and suppliers you use. - Alert you when a product's price changes. - Document the historical price changes of each product and supplier you use. We know for a fact that many are not transparent in this area. We realised that many of our customers struggle to track price changes. Often, suppliers claim a 'mistake' and correct it immediately. We believe that any major price change should trigger a reevaluation of the product and a comparison with the market. Do you know anyone who might be interested in this feature?
