Eddie was my liaison when I reported to HQ in 2009; he introduced me to the pleasures of the Five Guys, which was across the street from my temp quarters in Chantilly. After my stint in HRVWCU, I transferred to Domestic Ops as the Tasking/Reporting Officer; he was Section Chief in the Gang Unit (Mark Selby, who would become the SAC Miami and my SAC when I returned to the field in 2011 was the Unit Chief) - he'd bust my b*lls to ensure the unit got max props every day. Given we were both from Brooklyn - him a "Mick" from Marine Park and me a "Ginny" from Mill Basin, our afternoon discussions were, shall we say, "spirited" 🤣 . He was supposed to attend my farewell at the Mandarin when I departed DC, but he didn't; I was told he was not "feeling well". The rest, sadly, was history 😢 ...

Eddie was one of the agents that took care of me the most when we reported to ground zero in NY after 9-11 as part of the recovery efforts. I was a SAC NY outsider detailed to the recovery efforts among many TDY'd during that time. I eventually transferred to SAC NY and Eddie and I always maintained that great bond. Always smiling, never saw him in a bad mood, top professional. A role model for agents. Here's to remembering Eddie as he should be remembered.
