Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland’s Post

A Message from Our New President and CEO, Beth Hammack: Today I begin my work as president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, and I could not have asked for a better start. Already I have received welcome messages and expressions of support from many of you, for which I am grateful and humbled. My initial focus will be getting to know the talented Cleveland Reserve Bank employees who deliver every day on the Federal Reserve’s important public mission. As I settle in, I look forward to discovering more about the dynamic region that comprises the Fourth Federal Reserve District. Over my first year, I will prioritize visiting the people, businesses, and communities of the Fourth District to cultivate a deep understanding of the region.  Coupling these learnings with my experience in business and financial markets will be essential to representing the District at meetings of the Federal Open Market Committee, the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy body, in Washington DC. I look forward to sharing my discoveries on clevelandfed.org and the Bank’s social media channels.  Toward that end, I encourage you to contact the Cleveland Fed directly with ideas on how we can work together to build a strong economy for everyone. There is much to do, and I am eager to get started.
