No offense but this is one aspect of our economy that is very dissimilar to the beginning of the Reagan era in 1980 to the Trump/Biden era today in 2024. There are millions of jobs available today, and while unemployment is extremely low. Employers are desperately looking to staff in agriculture, trades, manufacturing, warehousing, food processing, border patrol, nursing, restaurants, hospitality, and, home health / senior care. The lack of individuals applying for these types of jobs has driven up demand/wages in many cases especially trades and nursing. Walk into a hotel or a restaurant or an automotive shop or a nursing home and ask the manager if there are jobs. Almost everyone will tell you yes, we are hiring. Kind of curious about your specific choice of words - what would a “major recovery” - your own words - after Joe Biden losing the Presidency, look like to you? The stock market is at an all time high, there are millions of the above mentioned jobs available. The one major problem we have is inflation, and that generally hits low income and middle class individuals and families much much harder than the wealthy. Inflation in America is closely tied to the housing market and cheap credit.

I support US presidential nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. If you google him or read major news articles about him, you will see harmful labels attached to his name. This is because he is calling out the people with all of the money and control. For example, The Vanguard Group and Blackrock are the top two owners of the New York Times, who recently published a hit piece on RFK. Meanwhile, RFK is exposing that they have over $10 trillion dollars in assets, with goals to buy up all of the single family homes in America. So, the people he’s calling out are the ones that own the news media that is slandering him. Sound problematic? I think so. If you give him the actual time of day to listen to him talk, you will see that he is extremely well-read and well-meaning. This is a far cry from our current mainstream politicians that are more concerned with corporate interests than that of the well-being of the citizens of the United States. RFK is running on rebuilding the middle class, which has been basically wiped out causing a massive rift between the rich and the poor. I think most people are content to be middle class, enjoying their lives while putting away a decent amount of money to be able to retire. This is not a reasonable situation in the current climate. We need a federal government that institutes policies for actual citizens rather than prioritizing rich corporations or funding the military-industrial complex.

Under its new president, Jason Matheny, RAND’s website presents extensive information on its DEI commitment and activities declaring at least twice: “At RAND, we strive to cultivate a community that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion as central to our culture, our values of quality and objectivity, and our mission to serve the public interest.” This is a platitude. DEI is the antithesis of merit and objectivity. This month, Matheny ignored RAND’s national-security legacy and announced that henceforth most of its research would be grouped into four main initiatives: “countering truth decay and autocracy,” “reducing inequity,” “governing technology,” and “advancing climate and energy solutions.” Three of the four initiatives are centered on DEI. The “reducing inequity” initiative seeks interventions to classify Americans by race and other innate characteristics and then to allocate education, health care, jobs, and policing based on those characteristics instead of merit or the greater good. "For RAND to embed in every aspect of its culture and research a philosophy and practices that are incompatible with American values, the views of most Americans, the Constitution, and federal and state law cannot be nonpartisan. When the design, staffing, and purpose of research is partisan and incorporates DEI, the outcome is partisan and biased, regardless of the accuracy of the data."
