🌟 Celebrating Black History Month! 🌟 At CE International, we honor the legacy and contributions of Black individuals worldwide - in the past, present, and future. This #BlackHistoryMonth, we're reminded of the profound and important impact Black leaders, thinkers, and educators have had and continue to have on shaping the world, especially in the area of #education. The work of earlier Black trailblazers such as Mary McLeod Bethune and Fanny Jackson Coppin created educational opportunities for Black children in the U.S. Later, brave Black children such as Ruby Bridges walked into newly desegregated schools to pursue the education they deserved. Worldwide, countless Black leaders have worked to build quality educational opportunities for children and youth in their communities, and today, Black education leaders globally advocate, teach, and innovate to build better #education systems, resources, and opportunities for all. As we commemorate Black History Month, we celebrate these achievements and recommit ourselves to creating inclusive educational environments worldwide so that all children can thrive. Around the circle are decorative orange and yellow dots and color splashes of orange, yellow, and green.

Today is the first day of Black History Month 2024. This month represents an amplified opportunity for all people to honor, celebrate and reflect upon the achievements, struggles, accomplishments, experiences and lives of Black Americans, past and present. Today, as we work towards a society that is more just, equitable, and historically aware, I encourage each of us to give thanks for and uplift the Black Americans who we have learned from, worked with, been mentored by, been supported by, done business with, partnered with, and loved. We are also challenged to redouble our efforts to have the history, story and achievements of Black Americans treated as the essential American history that it is… core to who we have been, an essential part of who we are today, and an essential element of who we shall be in the future as Americans. #BlackHistoryIsAmericanHistory #BlackLivesMatter #CelebrateBlackExcellence

February is Black History Month, a special time for honoring and celebrating the many achievements of Black Americans while acknowledging the challenges they face both past and present. Black investors in the U.S. hold more than $6 trillion of wealth, yet many are under-invested. Advisors can play a critical role in helping close that gap and reinforcing the continued growth of Black wealth and prosperity. BlackRock’s resources are designed to help advisors build authentic relationships with Black investors and earn their trust -> https://1blk.co/4bNStxl #BlackHistoryMonth #wealthmanagement #professionaldevelopment #financialadvisors

This February, we're celebrating Black History Month. It's a special time to recognize the profound impact Black Americans have on our society, culture, and history. In 1926, Dr. Carter G. Woodson first instituted "Negro History Week," aligning it with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. Its purpose was to raise awareness of the often-overlooked achievements Black Americans have made from mainstream historical narratives. initiative aimed to encourage the coordinated teaching of the history of American Blacks in the nation's public schools, a radical idea at the time that sought to challenge the underrepresentation of Black Americans in the country's history. In 1976, President Gerald Ford officially recognized Black History Month urging Americans to "seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history.” Since then, Black History Month has been a time for all Americans to celebrate the achievements, contributions, and history of African Americans.

Black History Month is an important time to celebrate, highlight, and reflect upon the deep contributions of Black and African American people in the U.S. We’d like to highlight the importance of black well-being. There are a number of unique factors that affect the well-being of people within the black community. Our Health and Life Coaches are equipped to support the well-being needs of this community. They focus on the individual while recognizing the community aspects that may play a role in their overall well-being. We interviewed our Founder & CEO Meigan Ward, who is a studying International Psychologist and Health and Life Coach. She shared her insights on the topic - based on her lived experiences and empirical research on mental health and the black community. During the interview we asked, what advice do you have for people in the Black community who may be dealing with burnout due to paying the Black Tax or working harder for less, all in the spirit of Black Excellence? Her advice ✨ “Be careful in the demand for Black Excellence. It can promote Black exceptionalism which can harm the well-being of Black people. That is because exceptionalism can create an unforgiving level of performance expectations in various aspects of one’s life. Instead, demand your humanization - which is key to balancing excellence and well-being.” Follow us for the full interview later this month!
