I love the concept of not using anymore the wording "empowering women"- I have been working on international development and gender equality for 25 years and I am tired of listening that women have to be empowered. Women have power! We can see in everyday life. Women are powerful individuals. What we need to ensure is that women can use the power they already have. So remove all legal, social and cultural (formal and informal) barriers and let them/us be on an equal foot with men.
