Restaurants are among the most difficult businesses to expand and maintain and here’s why…
Local flavors and preferences are deeply tied to the culture of a region. By incorporating these elements into their menu offerings, restaurants show respect for the local culture and demonstrate that they understand and appreciate the tastes of the community they are serving.
By catering to local flavors and preferences, restaurants can better meet the expectations and tastes of their customers. This can lead to higher customer satisfaction, repeat business, and positive word-of-mouth recommendations within the community.
In a competitive market, understanding and incorporating local flavors can give restaurants a competitive edge.
Adapting menu offerings to local flavors and preferences shows flexibility and adaptability on the part of the restaurant. This willingness to tailor their offerings to meet the needs of the local market can help restaurants build stronger connections with the community.
Ultimately, considering local flavors and preferences can have a positive impact on a restaurant's financial performance. By satisfying local tastes, restaurants are more likely to attract and retain customers, leading to increased sales and profitability.

Happy National Pizza Day!
Our data indicates that pizza preferences in the U.S. are intricately tied to regional influences, showcasing a combination of local and cultural factors that shape our tastebuds. Check out these notable results:
🍕Peter Piper Pizza is the pizza of choice across Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
🍕Blaze Pizza, LLC takes the lead across much of the South, including Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky and the Carolinas (it's #1 in Nevada, too!).
🍕Uno Pizzeria & Grill and &pizza share the crown for the leading pizza brand across the Northeast.
🍕Lou Malnati's Pizzeria known for its classic Chicago Deep Dish pizza, is the favorite across Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
🍕Three states that stand alone in their pizza tastes are California (where Round Table Pizza is #1), Idaho (Extreme Pizza takes the lead) and Florida (where Miami Grill is #1).

I enjoy working with 'Content Creators." Notice I didn't say 'Influencers...?!" I despise that terminology. I work with Content Creators that actually put effort into their videos. That are niche, but not broad at the same time. Those who get good engagements and more importantly, those that respond to their comments.
Too many people try to convince themselves and other they are an 'influencer.' When in reality, they don't influence anything. They throw up 1/2 concocted content and move on to the next.
Don't use Content Creators based on followers (those can be manipulated) or just on likes, etc. Choose Content Creators that you enjoy, that make solid content and when you speak to them they are professional and fun.
I've worked with many who are rude, think they are the best thing on the gram. Trust me....they were not! But the right Content Creators can help your business.
Have you ever had a dream job that seemed a little out of the ordinary? Well, I have one that some may find a bit strange, but for me, it's a dream come true. Believe it or not, my dream job would be to work as a greeter at my local HEB.
Now, some might question why I would aspire to work as a greeter at a grocery store, but let me explain. HEB holds a special place in my heart as a customer. It's not just any ordinary grocery store; it's the epitome of convenience, quality, and community. Every time I step foot into HEB, I feel a sense of comfort and familiarity. It's my go-to shop for all my grocery needs, and I simply cannot imagine a life without it.
Living in Texas, HEB has become an integral part of my routine. It's not just a store, but a place where I can find everything I need, from fresh produce to household essentials. The friendly faces, well-stocked shelves, and exceptional customer service make every visit a pleasant experience. HEB has truly mastered the art of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for its customers.
As a greeter at HEB, I would have the opportunity to extend that warm welcome to every customer who walks through the doors. I imagine myself standing at the entrance with a smile, greeting each person with genuine friendliness and making them feel instantly at home. It may seem like a small role, but I believe that even the smallest gestures can make a big difference in someone's day.
Moreover, working as a greeter at HEB would allow me to be a part of the HEB family on a whole new level. I would have the chance to interact with the incredible staff who make HEB what it is – a community-driven grocery store. I would have the privilege of witnessing firsthand the positive impact HEB has on its employees and customers alike.
So, while it may seem a bit odd to dream of being a greeter at a local HEB, for me, it signifies the importance of community, customer service, and the joy of being a part of something larger than oneself. HEB has become more than just a place to shop; it's a symbol of the Texan way of life, a testament to the value of local businesses, and a beacon of warmth and hospitality.
In the end, whether my dream job becomes a reality or not, I will forever cherish HEB as my favorite grocery store. I will continue to be a loyal customer and advocate for their exceptional service and commitment to the community. HEB has truly set the bar high when it comes to creating a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience, and I am grateful to have such a fantastic store right around the corner.
So, the next time you find yourself at HEB, take a moment to appreciate the little things that make it so special. From the friendly greeters to the wide array of high-quality products, HEB truly goes above and beyond to meet the needs of its customers. And who knows, maybe you'll catch me one day at the entrance, welcoming you with a smile and making your shopping trip just a little bit brighter.
I'm an avid seeker of best-in-class leaders for retail & eCommerce roles. Clearly, #iwork4HEB where we’re #morethanjustgroceries! 🔎 💻 🛒 To know me is to appreciate my use of emojis. 😉
(Warning: not work related) Where are the best places to get great meats? I got some advice from the most decorated bbq pit master out there.
Just took a friends trip to southern Georgia to learn for 3 days how to make the best bbq from Myron Mixon. And he shared his tips for the best place to buy various meats (same places he buys meat when he does bbq competitions. (FWIW, from a business perspective, I think it would be a very cool, unique spot/group to do a corporate event at if you can make the trek).
For beef he suggested Snake River Farms. Specifically for their American waygu. https://lnkd.in/gNp7zG2g
For pork he suggested Compart Duroc meats. Side note: they’re the only place that he know who will ship you a whole hog for a pig roast. https://lnkd.in/g6PTWnc7
And for chicken they suggested Smart Chicken. Apparently not available in all parts of the USA and mostly in the west. https://lnkd.in/gx9jTvq8
Eat well everyone!
Anyone have recommendations for great places to get fish products?
It’s Pi Day! What comes to mind first: pizza or pie?
Give us a 👍 for pizza or ❤️ for pie.
We looked at #grocery transaction data from 2023 to see what impact, if any, Pi Day had on sales of pizzas or pies. Turns out, Pi Day celebrants have a sweet tooth! Swipe for more.

Have you ever heard of Runza the food chain? If you have never heard of a Runza, chances are you haven't made it to Nebraska yet!
You can see that my grandson is already a raving Runza fan!!
Our state might not be the first place you think of for a food adventure, but let’s talk what makes Runza Restaurants so unique to the Midwest.
So what makes Runza so unique and what they are best in the world at?
Runza is a #Nebraska food chain and is known for its savory bread pockets filled with ground beef and cabbage and that is favorite to us Nebraskans.
I would go as far to say that the Runza Sandwhich is a Nebraska Staple and also a Nebraska Game Day special. On a typical Husker football game day, there will be between 10,000 - 15,000 Runza’a sold inside Memorial Stadium.
For Sage, his favorites are the Runza cheeseburger and fries.
While Runza may not be recognized as the best in the world at cheeseburgers and fries, they have a loyal following in Nebraska and where they operate due to the consistent quality and taste of their menu items.
In my opinion, Runza has the best cheeseburger you can get at any fast food restaurant. The fries and onion rings are also a huge hit.
This picture of Sage made me think of work we do with clients when we initially start working together. ⬇️⬇️
We lay the groundwork for a:
☑️ Magnetic Vision.
☑️ Focused Strategy.
☑️ Confident Execution.
If you make your way to Nebraska, give Runza a try! You can learn more about Runza here: https://lnkd.in/gE3xnB5N#uniquesellingproposition#unique#values#hedgehog#strategicplanning#vision#quality#systemandsoul
