In an increasingly competitive labour market, a distinctive element for successful companies is the ability to actively listen to their employees. Active listening is not just a managerial skill, it is a real strategic tool for retaining existing employees and attracting new talent.   Whenever the opportunity arises, I invite everyone who works at Fidia to reflect on the importance of listening and having the courage to speak up and take the initiative. I do this in my regular meetings with new recruits, during which I ask them to share their impressions of the company; ‘Fresh’ eyes can help us not only to (re)interpret our situation, but also to share the importance of two-way communication right from the start.   This is a unique opportunity that allows me to look at the Company with different eyes and measure the concrete changes and progress we are making, promoting a collaborative working environment.   ---   In un mercato del lavoro sempre più competitivo, un elemento distintivo per le aziende di successo è la capacità di ascoltare attivamente i propri collaboratori. L'ascolto attivo non è solo una competenza manageriale, ma un vero e proprio strumento strategico per mantenere i talenti esistenti e attrarne di nuovi. Ogniqualvolta se ne presenti l'occasione invito tutte le persone che lavorano in Fidia a riflettere sull'importanza dell'ascolto e sul coraggio di parlare e prendere l’iniziativa. Lo faccio negli incontri che periodicamente ho con le persone neo-assunte durante i quali chiedo loro di esprimere le proprie impressioni sull'Azienda; occhi “nuovi” ci possono aiutare non solo a (ri)leggere il nostro contesto ma anche a condividere già dai primi giorni l’importanza di una comunicazione bi-direzionale. Un'opportunità unica che mi permette di guardare l'Azienda con occhi diversi e misurare i cambiamenti concreti e i progressi che stiamo facendo, promuovendo un ambiente di lavoro collaborativo.

Is that why the wound care/skin care team isn’t doing so well? Active listening is why they let go a great rep? Or is that Mr Zanni trying to bully people to get his way?
