🚀 The launch of Arteri Academy is a milestone in our business design journey! It's been an exhilarating experience working with the team to build this new offering - thrilled to share some insights from our journey: 💡Through the strategy and implementation consulting work for our clients, we uncovered a major insight about their training and uplift needs: business design, effective business architecture, human-centred methods, and implementation know-how are vital yet often undersupplied skills in organisations. This realisation became our north star, shaping a curriculum that bridges this gap. 💡And knowing that online training isn't enough by itself, we are producing training courses in a unique way - our clients inform what content, topics, and courses we build, so training is tailored for their needs. We've combined this with regular practice workshops and hands-on consulting, to round out the complete business design ecosystem. 💡Creating Arteri Academy was a meta-exercise in business design. We applied the very processes we teach, facing our own challenges and breakthroughs along the way. From deep-diving into learning preferences to late-night ideation sessions, we've lived and breathed our methodology. Prototyping and testing with diverse professionals pushed us to refine constantly. It's both humbling and exciting to see our hard work culminate in a training experience that truly resonates. 5S is a systematic methodology used to organise the workplace for efficiency, effectiveness, and safety. The five principles of 5S are: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, and Sustain. Here's a brief overview of what 5S can do for a business: Enhanced Safety: Implementing 5S promotes a safer work environment by removing hazards, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring clear visual controls. This contributes to accident prevention and employee well-being. Improved Efficiency: By organising and decluttering the workspace (Sort), arranging items systematically (Set in Order), and ensuring cleanliness (Shine), 5S helps streamline processes, reduce waste, and minimise unnecessary movement, leading to improved efficiency. Cost Reduction: Through better organisation and standardised processes (Standardise), businesses can reduce costs associated with excess inventory, wasted time searching for tools or materials, and unnecessary equipment downtime. Increased Productivity: 5S encourages employees to focus on value-adding activities by eliminating distractions and inefficiencies. Standardised procedures and a clean, organised workspace contribute to smoother operations and higher productivity levels. Cultural Transformation: Sustain, the fifth S of 5S, emphasises the importance of sustaining the improvements made. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee involvement, 5S can lead to long-term positive changes in mindset and behaviour throughout the organisation. Overall, 5S can significantly benefit a business by improving efficiency, enhancing safety, reducing costs, increasing productivity and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
