For example, if the scale reads 3 kg 100 grams, we often round it down to just 3 kg. But my perspective on this changed recently, thanks to Vinesh Phogat. Vinesh was denied the chance to compete in the finals because she was just 100 grams over the weight limit, despite her relentless efforts. She even shed blood, endured grueling workouts, and practically starved herself to make weight. Yet, those 100 grams kept her from the competition. This incident made me realize how significant even 100 grams can be. Just yesterday, when buying from a local vendor, the scale showed 2 kg 100 grams. Instead of rounding it down, I asked the vendor to remove the extra 100 grams. I now understand the true weight of 100 grams, and how heavy it can be. Life teaches us lessons through difficulties, and they often come at a high price. But this experience taught me that every gram matters—whether in kilograms or tons. You can lose an opportunity over a single gram. For a vendor, 100 grams lost over 10 customers means a loss of a kilogram that may be any value. Vinesh, it’s heartbreaking what you went through, but your experience has taught a valuable lesson to all of us. You are our hero, and the nation deeply respects the contribution your family has made to wrestling on the international stage. We know how tough it must have been to emerge from the protests, train yourself, and reach the level you did. More power to you, Vinesh.
