Morgan Stanley chooses Ted Pick to replace James Gorman as CEO 👱🏻♂️ Who is Ted Pick? Pick, co-president of Morgan Stanley for the last two years, led the bank's institutional securities group, which includes investment banking and trading activities. He’s a Harvard MBA, who joined Morgan Stanley way back in 1990. 🔄 Does this mean a change in direction for Morgan Stanley? No. At least that’s what we were told by Pick in an FT interview where he said that his appointment was “not a change in strategy”. 🗓️ When does he take over and was this a surprise? Pick, 54, was seen as the frontrunner for the job, will start the role on January 1. 👉 Is that it for James Gorman? Far from it. Gorman will become executive chair of the board of directors. What did the out going legendary CEO James Gorman have to say… he’s “battle-tested”. Succession complete. #MorganStanley #InvestmentBanking #Finance #WallStreet

Assistant Vice President, Client Service Associate at Truist Investment Services Inc., Truist Wealth
“Our transformation into a simpler, more efficient, and profitable company is well underway. This transformative work was evident in our fourth quarter results given the sequential decline in adjusted expense and improvement in revenue. We continue to invest in our core franchise and risk management systems and strengthen our balance sheet as we achieved a CET1 ratio of 10.1% at year-end. Asset quality continues to normalize but remains in-line relative to our outlook and allowance coverage ratios. Looking into 2024, we remain diligently focused on winning on our home court in the best U.S. markets by helping new and existing core clients reach their financial goals. Our heightened focus on capitalizing on this competitive advantage will drive efficiencies and growth that will lead to increased franchise and shareholder value.” — Bill Rogers, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Full Truist earnings results and disclosures https://bit.ly/3tZWkGC
