School of Design Thinking (SoDT) is excited to collaborate with the International Management Institute, Kolkata (IMI, Kolkata), a leading B-School in the country to integrate Design Thinking in a holistic manner in the institution. As part of this collaboration SoDT and IMI, Kolkata offers a 3-credit course on "Design Thinking for Rural Innovation". This course aims to empower management students with the skills and methodologies of Design Thinking to address and solve pressing issues in rural areas. With the support of Mission Samriddhi, a social impact platform dedicated to holistic development of Rural India, the course will integrate concepts of #DesignThinking and hands-on elements in the rural community. This will provide the students with a deeper understanding of how Design Thinking will be a trigger for managing a comprehensive and structured transformation, initiating growth and leading the path to rural innovation. The credit course will teach students to apply human-centered Design Principles, using our unique methodology ‘Design The Thinking®’ which focuses on shifting the mental model, to develop sustainable, impactful solutions.
