One week ago our team was huddled together in Armonk NY to discuss new ways of "Leveling Up" and to plan for what will surely be the best school year yet! Our team is usually spread across the country serving independent schools from Maine to Hawaii... but being together reminds us to be united by our values, a love of food, and a sincere desire to nourish a brighter future. Ready to join us?

I had the privilege to attend the FLIK Independent School Dining annual meeting and was blown away by this Poke station! Chef Gerald, from our Hawaii business, showed us how traditional Poke was served before the invention and use of soy sauce. He complimented it with ulu (bread fruit which he personally brought over Hawaii) with Tako (smoked octopus) dip. It might have been one of the best tasting dishes I have ever had! Food is identify and we get that. This is why I love working at Flik Hospitality Group ...moments when i get to see people celebrated and seen are what it is all about. #WeAreFLIK #foodbyFLIK

In the segment, Chef David describes two ways FISD makes it happen: through delicious, veggie-inclusive recipes like “revved up marinara” and through programs designed to expand the palate and encourage food exploration like “Swavory” (sweet versus savory).
