I'm thrilled to announce that my dissertation manuscript has been accepted by Ohio State, which brings me to the end of my journey in graduate school 🤗 For those interested, I wanted to share a few important details and interesting stats about it: Title: In a Dog's Age: Fabricating the Family Dog in Modern Britain, 1780-1920 Research Question: How, why, and where did the modern pet dog originate? Summarized thesis: Aspects inherent to British industrialization and urbanization reconceptualized dogs from working to companion animals before then providing the commodities and culture necessary to sustain nonworking dogs. Ever heard of symbiosis? In such a vast environment as the pelagic, it’s vital for some species to work together to survive. Symbiosis is a close and prolonged relationship or association between two or more species. There are broad types of relationships like competitors or predator and prey, but symbiosis can take on many forms, including;  1️⃣ Mutualism - an interaction where all species involved benefit.   2️⃣ Commensalism - an interaction where one species benefits while the other is unaffected.   3️⃣ Parasitism - an interaction where one species benefits while the other is harmed.  This infographic is part of an interactive e-workbook created for The International SeaKeepers Society's Educational Outreach Program designed for South Florida students to explore and learn about three native habitats in association with three Canvas of the Wild educational displays.
