❗ Connecting #DDAA Across Subsurface, Wells and Surface ❗ After 7 years of the digitalization tsunami hit our oil and gas industries, we have seen so many success stories (and failures), learnings and improvement in our way of working. Many organisations have also moved towards data analytics and automation to bring a full loop of digitalization, data analytics and automation (DDAA) into their working platform. Very often that the DDAA application is silo towards a particular discipline without a line of sight on how everything in the upstream sector are connected to one another. Some key learning from the CCUS Houston Conference from Laura Mislan "A key theme from the conference that resonated was containment.... "Containment will be key to project safety, longevity and public acceptance." It's sometimes easy for industry to forget all the details and knowledge that have been accumulated over years. We need to ensure we're considering that as we provide information to public on our webpages. The direct correlation to Laura point is the abundance of public commentary about the risks of CO2 leaking (or seeping) back through the stacked geologic layers over time.
