Following our recent partnership announcement with Kilroy Realty Corporation, we're excited to share another preview of the proposed Sea Portal waterfront hub for our Midnight aircraft in South San Francisco's Oyster Point area. This hub will anchor our Bay Area network, connecting South San Francisco, Napa, San Jose, Oakland, and Livermore. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gK2S2-vB
most people that commute can't afford this type of travel. They commute because rapid transit like bart doesn't reach their areas. Why not just put the money into expanding the BART system. People are commuting as far Salinas and most are of Mexican descent. Doesn't seem much thought was put into helping the people that need it. Bay Area is not a playground for the ultra rich. Stop treating it as such.
Why is this needed, and who says it is needed. Do the residents in those areas even want this or this just another example of people not living in the effected regions making dictating what goes on in those areas. It sounds like entitlement to me.
The cost of this Helipad concept is the same as a similar sized Yacht = $200 Million each. Permits will cost another $50 million. Expensive for a 4 passenger flight. Buy Low Cost Helipads available from Infrastructure Improvement Inc
A cool concept and the palm trees are a really nice touch, but with aircraft charging how would the vertiport be cleared in the event of an emergency landing? At least as there are no safety railings over the side would be an option. I’m sure this and what happens if an aircraft can’t be repaired in place will be considered once the concept matures!
😍
How would the charging infrastructure be installed on the piers?
Wow very ambitious and interesting project!
👏😃
Moving forward!
This is an awesome story to share with students in the Bay Area! 🛩😎
