You can now get a degree in influencing from an Irish university. For real, for real Influencer marketing is one of the fastest-growing marketing channels, and for good reason. It allows brands to reach their target audiences in a more authentic and engaging way than traditional advertising. In fact, influencer marketing surpassed £29bn in 2022, and 44% of Gen Z makes purchases based on influencer recommendations. These numbers are only going to grow in the coming years, as influencer marketing becomes more mainstream and sophisticated. When a brand partners with an influencer, they are essentially tapping into that influencer's relationship with their audience. This allows the brand to reach a new audience in a way that feels authentic and trustworthy. Don’t ignore influencers! PS. Influencer and content creation is not dead and it's certainly not over. Let's look at this from a business lens. Is it more effective for a brand to tell others about their product or is it more effective to have a "regular" person review, use and then speak on it? Remember the infomercials of the past? Yup, those were influencers. Influencers and content creators who are posting on their channels are basically "word of mouth" advertisers. Most people use products, go to service providers, or buy things based on referrals from people they know. We trust our friends or those in our circle. Great influencers build the same trust with their audience in that same way to help share new products. That is all this is.... but on a larger scale. Congratulations to everyone on this list!

My client said that he paid one of the influencers around 10K for the PR! And I thought What if they had run ads at the same cost! they could get better results! But as I thought deeper and searched! I think Influencer marketing is expensive when you are running a small Business! But Influencer marketing gets a step ahead because it creates Emotional connection and Trust! So what's the thing that can break Influencer marketing? UGC! User generated content! I think UGC ignites more interest than Influencer marketing! Because consumer gives honest review and influencer are being paid for this reviews! UGC in ads can be effective and I think more Cost efficient than Influencer Marketing! What do you say? It was just my point of view!

Ever wonder what the future holds for influencer marketing? Look no further than Keith Bendes, Linqia's VP of Strategy. Last year, I had a fascinating discussion with Keith about influencer marketing's future. The big takeaway was influencers outperforming BAU (business as usual) content. It’s a trend I love because it aligns with my core belief that we should be using influencers for so much more than endorsement posts. So when I needed industry pros to come in and set the stage for students in my Influencer Marketing class at UCLA Extension, Keith was one of my first calls. He revealed that they’re now getting a lot of CTV requests because as CTV explodes, a lot of brands are trying to take their creator content and optimize it for a full screen experience. And the industry shows no signs of slowing down. Brands are doubling down on their influencer marketing investments (65% increase in campaigns YOY) according to Linqia’s 2024 trend report.
