🌞 **Summer Fun & Team Building: Our Company Retreat!** 🌞 Summer is one of my favorite times of the year, and it's not just because of the warm weather. Next week, we're heading to Broken Bow, Oklahoma, for our company-wide retreat, and I couldn't be more excited! These events are always a blast. It's a fantastic opportunity for our company and teams to bond, build relationships, and enjoy some fun time together away from work. We rent out massive luxury cabins, engage in vertical games focused on camaraderie and team building, and visit some great restaurants in the hidden gem of Broken Bow and Hochatown. This year's retreat is extra special because we have two new locations, and not everyone knows each other yet. In the past, most people had some relationships going into the retreat, but now it's a chance for everyone to connect. Our locations include Oklahoma City, Dallas Fort Worth, Austin, Texas, and now Kansas City, and everyone is coming down for this massive event. Teamwork is one of our core values at Vertical Solutions, and we've been focusing on it a lot lately. During a recent leadership Zoom call, we looked up different definitions of teamwork, and one really resonated with me: "Teamwork is a collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal, where tasks are completed effectively and efficiently." Friday Roundup 🔁 As we wrap up another week at Limes Consultancy, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on a couple of the experiences and connections we've made. 🏢 The AUDE Strategic Facilities Conference was a fountain of knowledge. With Tim Whitehill's presentation on the BSRIA Soft Landings framework standing out, showcasing how it can significantly improve outcomes in built environment projects. The questions and discussions that it generated were as enlightening as they were engaging. Their were innovative insights from George Griffith - GTG Consulting Limited regarding the Higher Education Estates Management benchmarking data. And it was really interesting to hear from Brendan Sexton about the research on neurodiversity in building design from the University of Nottingham, which particularly resonated, aligning seamlessly with our commitment to inclusive and effective project outcome focussed delivery. 🌿 Midweek, we switched gears to the North Notts Business Connections Breakfast Meeting at the scenic Clumber Park. It was a morning well-spent networking with fellow professionals, exchanging ideas, and fostering new relationships. These connections are not just about business opportunities; they're about community building and learning. This week has been a testament to our ongoing pursuit of excellence and collaboration.
