London Care Record reaches 50M views by frontline health and care staff https://lnkd.in/dxX3VrTB The London Care Record has now been used over 50 million times by frontline health and care staff helping them provide faster, safer and more effective care across the Capital and beyond (9 July 2024). Introduced in 2020 the London Care Record is a single and secure view of a person’s health and care information across different parts of the NHS and social care. It helps ensure frontline staff have the information they need about a person when they need it, to inform their clinical decision-making. It includes any conditions which a person has, their test results, medicines, allergies and plans for their care and other useful information such as hospital discharge summaries is also available within the record. The London Care Record was used almost 2.2 million times in May, which is a new monthly record. It is now regularly used by over 100,000 different health and care staff in London and some neighbouring areas. Section 71A states that a member of the police may do anything reasonably necessary (including the use of force) to help a medical officer of health or any person authorised by the medical officer of health in the exercise or performance of powers or functions under sections 70 or 71Special powers are authorised by the Minister of Health or by an epidemic notice or apply where an emergency has been declared under the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002. that needs to happen for the following draconian powers to apply is a declaration of an emergency. It is so ambiguously worded that it doesn’t even sound like the emergency needs to be a pandemic.The power to detain, isolate or quarantine allows a medical officer of health to ‘require persons, places, buildings, ships, vehicles, aircraft, animals, or things to be isolated, quarantined, or disinfected’ (section 70(1)(f))In an instant, a medical officer can suddenly detain, isolate or quarantine you.The power to prescribe preventive treatment allows a medical officer of health, in respect of any person who has been isolated or quarantined, to require people to remain where they are isolated or quarantined until they have been medically examined and found to be free from infectious disease, and until they have undergone such preventive treatment as the medical officer of health prescribes (section 70(1)(h)).This is where it gets worse. Some jobsworth medical officer will have the power to prescribe preventative treatment to anybody who has been isolated or quarantined. 🐄 Excited to share some basic management tips for calf care! 🌱 🔆Nutritional Needs: Ensure calves receive adequate colostrum(6L) within (First 6hours) within the first few hours of birth to boost immunity. Transition to a milk replacer or whole milk gradually, providing enough for growth and development. ✴️Housing: Provide clean, dry, and well-ventilated housing with enough space for each calf to move comfortably. Proper bedding, such as straw or sawdust, helps maintain hygiene and warmth. ✴️Management: Regular health checks are essential. Monitor for signs of illness like diarrhea or respiratory issues. Keep records of vaccinations, treatments, and growth progress to track development. 🔶Milk Requirements: Offer milk or milk replacer at consistent intervals, typically 2-3 times a day. Adjust quantities based on age, weight, and growth rate. Clean feeding equipment regularly to prevent contamination. ✅Vaccination: Follow a vaccination schedule recommended by your veterinarian to protect against common diseases like pneumonia, scours, and clostridial infections. Vaccinate at appropriate ages and booster as needed. Remember, each calf is unique, so tailor management practices to individual needs.
