📆 Today was month-end where sales took priority despite it being the weekend. Today was a holiday for me as I'm from the engineering team, but I made time to visit the operation and meet my previously worked team. I want to give a big shout-out to the wonderful people at the company who supported me during my 2021 internship at Collins Aerospace . It was my first job experience, and I was still in my 8th semester at the time. Despite the challenges of the lockdown and exams, I used to be onsite at the office, fully dedicated to my internship. This period marked my journey from being a student to entering the professional world. #InternshipJourney 🚀 #Dedication 💪 I was responsible for monitoring On-time start, On-time finish, MPS, MO Release, kitting process, and updating charts in inventory obheya during my internship. The team I worked with was truly amazing, and I learned a ton during my internship. From managing materials and site operations to understanding the delivery process, I gained valuable skills. I also learned how to handle stress by prioritizing tasks and effectively communicating with team members to solve assembly line problems. Even though I'm in a different team now, I still make time to visit and catch up with my friends from that time. I'm immensely grateful to VINAYAK HEGDE , Chethan H A , Vasanth Kumar , Venkatappa Ramu , Girish Shivaramaiah , Vinayaka M , Surendran Mani , Yogeesh, Chinthan K , Muralidhar S who guided and supported me during my internship. Everyone loves to talk about their wins, so instead of writing about those, here are 5 of the biggest misses in my career! 1) Got fired from a once-in-a-lifetime internship due to my immaturity and absenteeism. 2) Wasted two months of my time on a project that failed because I didn't involve my end-users. 3) Didn't get a job with Volvo that I really, really wanted because the hiring manager thought I was "too technical" and would get bored. 4) Left a job after 2 and a half weeks when I realized it was not a culture fit for me and the stress was going to kill me. 5) Didn't get a job with Walmart because the role got cut the day I was scheduled to do the meet and greet with the VP. What has been your biggest career failure that you are willing to share?

I just completed my first ever internship a little while ago with Airblack, working as an Experience Intern. It was an enriching exposure and here is a summary of my takeaways from this opportunity: 1. The environment at any workplace or place of learning should be supportive and enriching, and the team at Airblack lacked none of that. From supportive mentors to various tools and the floor always open for questions, it made me keen on making the most out of my time and learning as much as possible. 2. Hardwork is involved in very step of your journey. I used to commute long distances to get to office everyday and that exposed me to the struggle of office goers who travel far and wide to support and fulfill their ambitions and duties. I saw people from all styles of life on the metro, students with coaching centres far from home, college goers with their group of friends, professionals waiting to get home after a long day. I boil this down to one major learning, hardwork is always appreciated and rewarded. 3. Never shy away from asking questions and there is no such thing as a stupid question or too many questions. You will never know the true motive behind any project or task if you do not ask. Ask till you understand what and why it is a certain way. 4. Always appreciate help. Be grateful to each and every one you work with because all of them will teach you a little something. Always express gratitude. That leaves a mark in their books and helps you gain connections. 5. Networking is the biggest tool. I intend to stay in touch with everyone I have worked with. Thats how you grow your network and thats how you get opportunities, reccomendations and great career advice when you need. 6. Communication is an asset. Communicate your needs, issues, expectations when it is appropriate to do so. Most mentors are understanding of your situation and try their best to help you work around your problems. Ask if you need a resource, voice out your issues, but be ready to push through it all the same. In the end it is your problem, they are there to advice you. Overall, it was an amazing month of learning and growing as an individual. Special mention to my mentors Videt Jaiswal, Vaibhav Raj Gupta and Hrishikesh Dubey, among others for all their support.

It’s summer intern season and I’m energized by the high caliber of #earlycareer talent we have here at Cox Enterprises. I’ve had the opportunity to sit down with several of our awesome interns for 1:1 conversations and each time have been asked about the best career advice I’ve ever received. With the very strong disclaimer that I still have much to learn, here’s a roundup of eight things I wish I had known earlier in my career: 👉 Take work off your boss's desk. In other words, don't create work – diminish it. 👉 You are responsible for protecting your time and boundaries. 👉 Giving 100% will look different from day to day. 👉 Micromanagers are people who don't have enough work to do. 👉 Hard work DOES pay off. I promise. Keep going. 👉 When you make a mistake (not "if," "when"), make it right. Then move on. Everyone else will follow. 👉 Be yourself. Simple advice, but easy to forget when you're the new kid on the block. 👉 You can do anything. But you can't do everything. Let me know what I missed in the comments!

Product Cybersecurity Team 🚀 🔑 Key Insights: As I wrap up my internship with the Product Cybersecurity Team at Cummins Inc., I can't help but reflect on the invaluable lessons I've gained. The nurturing of strong work ethics, the weight of meeting deadlines, and the art of collaborating seamlessly across diverse teams – these experiences have truly shaped my growth. 🏆 Proud Accomplishments: Looking back, I'm thrilled to have delved into various Business Unit teams, getting insights into the system details and processes and performing TARA Evaluations. Furthermore, I was given the task to explore the intricacies of IEC 62443, identify gaps and work on the feasibility of a combined TARA process. The development of a ISO 21434 TARA training module for Engineering Teams stands as a key deliverable to the progress we achieved. 🙏 Heartfelt Appreciation: My heartfelt gratitude goes to the incredible Team Lead, Tomas L., and my ever supportive manager, Zulma Cuan. Their constant encouragement and recognition have been a driving force for me. And a special shoutout to John Maag for his constructive feedback. Nonetheless, I am grateful to the the entire PCS team, Chris York , Prof Qadeer Ahmed & Sharika Kumar for their unwavering support throughout. 🔭 Embarking on New Horizons: While this chapter concludes, new adventures await. I'm excited to carry the torch forward with a Research Project of Cummins at The Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research, applying the knowledge I've gained.
