I have been receiving commissions for most of my work career. Some companies have simple plans and some are more challenging. I have occasionally been shorted by a little bit but the error has been discovered by accounting the majority of the time, and have been corrected. I had one situation where I missed a bunch of commission but that was because they had never had to look that far down the spreadsheet before. It was corrected. I have had very few situations where companies have not been able to/have not wanted to pay. Didn't work at those places for long The overwhelming majority of companies will pay you what they owe you.

Friend of mine told me, their incentive plan has 67 pages and 44 Excel sheets. Basically it is impossible to get a commission. For real.

Salesforce will tell you their “idea” is imperative to advance in the modern sales environment Anybody with any brains will tell you its your relationship with your customer. Ask your customer if they care about antalitics and they will look at you like you have an eye in the middle of your forehead. Your customer is not a combination of data, they are a personal friend who you build a relationship with based on TRUST, not numbers or data. Sorry Salesforers…..don’t drink the kool-aide!!!

Oh great, another Salesforce clone. Please salespeople just get out to meet and talk to your customers and get to know them. Analytics will get your nowhere. Having your customers as one of your friends will.
