Collaborative ACTION to Reduce Emissions A cool sentence to describe the momentum of the signing of the MoU between Utomodeck Group Group and PT PLN (Persero) PLN subsidiary PT HALEYORA POWER (Subsidiary PT PLN Persero) to develop clean energy and mobility infrastructure ⚡️ I always highlight the word "collaboration" whenever I speak in formal or informal forums. Collaboration makes us quickly achieve a big goal. Not just business interests, but also the nation's interest in realizing an accelerated energy transition. Through this collaboration, the industrial decarbonization strategy will be more progressive because operation and maintenance (O&M) services for net-zero companies that want to or have already installed solar systems in their respective business units are of higher quality. In terms of clean mobility, this collaboration will also encourage more massive SPKLU development 👏🏻 Congratulations to utomo solaRUV Utomo Charge+ PT HALEYORA POWER (Subsidiary PT PLN Persero) for the collaboration created. Hopefully the small things we strive for are of great value to the nation and state 🇮🇩

Reuters Reports: Indonesia's Green Revolution! Indonesia unlocked the gates to Southeast Asia's largest floating solar power plant, marking a colossal stride towards a greener future. The Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) is the game-changer, backed by a $20 billion investment plan, with the U.S. and Japan leading the charge. The goal? Trim carbon emissions to 250 million metric tons by 2030 – talk about a powerhouse commitment! But here's the buzz: $97.3 billion is the magic number, and $66.9 billion is the fuel for 400 projects to kick off by 2030. Big plans, big dreams, and an even bigger impact! What's your take on Indonesia's green leap? Do you see this as a pivotal moment? #ecofriendly #renewableenergy #cleanenergy #cleanmobility #zeroemissions

On December 5th, 2023, the Renewable Energy and Emission Reduction (REER) team (Abdul Baits Dehana Padma Swastika, Baihaqi Muhammad, Mirmanti Cinahya Winursita, and Michael Adi) attended a Dissemination Webinar of Indonesia's Transportation Decarbonization Roadmap by Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR). This webinar highlighted the urgency of land transportation decarbonization as the transportation sector contributed 150 Mtons CO2 eq in 2021, higher than the industrial sector in emission and energy consumption. As the projected value share of vehicle ownership and trips per person will increase until 2060, several strategies are presented to achieve the Net Zero Target of Indonesia in 2060. The research used a system dynamics model, which assesses the trade-off and impacts of transportation policies on social and economic factors. The principle of sustainable transportation is Avoid - Shift - Improve: Avoid Trip when possible, Shift to an Environment-Friendly Vehicle, then Improve the efficiency of Fuel Consumption. #RDIGlobal #GlobalThinkTank #ConnectwithRDI #decarbonization

Indonesia is advancing in green technology through global partnerships, focusing on renewable energy and sustainable goals. Collaborations with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the European Union support Indonesia’s transition to a low-carbon energy system and green development. IRENA aids Indonesia in aiming for a 23% renewable energy mix by 2025, while the EU's commitment, including a €19 billion financing under the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP), targets net zero emissions in Indonesia's power sector by 2050. These international partnerships are set to impact international business operations and procurement in Indonesia, with a strong focus on sustainability, environmental compliance, and green technology. Companies should tailor their Asia strategies to align with Indonesia's green objectives. The Indonesian market is increasingly embracing sustainable technologies and eco-friendly practices. The shift will enable businesses to acquire environmentally responsible materials and prioritize sustainable supply chains. Indonesia's evolution in business practices mirrors its dedication to green development and aligns with the global trend towards sustainability. #indonesia #sourcing #procurement Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dKyngzNu
