Exciting news for Burnaby. 🎊 We’re thrilled to announce that phase two of the Burnaby Hospital redevelopment and BC Cancer Centre project will soon be underway. The $1.7 billion project will include a new acute care tower and integrated BC Cancer centre. This will expand our capacity and introduce state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring our staff and medical staff can continue to deliver high-quality care to our patients and families. PCL Construction and Parkin Architects have been selected as the preferred proponent team for the project. The first of its kind for a health care project in Canada, this will be undertaken as a single target outturn cost alliance which is a multi-party contract between an owner, builder and designer to team up for full project delivery: https://ow.ly/pflF50SxuKw Interested in joining our team? Exciting news for Burnaby! 🎊 It's heartening to hear about the upcoming phase two of the Burnaby Hospital redevelopment and BC Cancer Centre project, which promises to enhance healthcare capabilities with a new acute care tower and integrated BC Cancer centre. This $1.7 billion initiative signifies a significant investment in state-of-the-art equipment and expanded capacity, ensuring that patients and families receive top-tier care. The selection of PCL Construction and Parkin Architects as the preferred proponent team for this pioneering single target outturn cost alliance underscores a collaborative approach to project delivery in healthcare—a crucial step forward. Personally, having had family members impacted by cancer, initiatives like these resonate deeply.
