Seeing things like this never gets old. We're proud to have faculty members like Sita Kugel who take mentorship beyond the bench to prepare the next generation of scientific leaders for whatever lies ahead. 💙🔬

As I move on to the next stage in my career, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my incredible PhD mentor Sita Kugel. Her guidance and support has helped me grow so much as a scientist and as a person. I have learned so much from her and she has prepared me to take on any new challenges that may come in this next stage of my career. I also want to highlight that Dr Sita Kugel won the McDougall Faculty Mentoring Award this year which highlights her dedication to mentorship and support of all her trainees. I cannot emphasize enough how deserving she is of this award. Below I have included an image of text from the Fred Hutch announcement of the award which includes wonderful highlights from the nomination letters.
