THE 18TH PUBLIC SECTOR INNOVATION CONFERENCE IN DURBAN On 21 - 22 August 2024, the Centre for Public Service Innovation will be hosting their 18th Annual Public Sector Innovation Conference, themed "Accelerating Transformation through Mission-Oriented Innovation". Geekulcha to partner and support the conference. This year, there is an added hands-on (and/or Show&Tell) segment in the form of a Developer Convention (DevCon) of system developers in Government. To supplement this too - we will start off the DevCon with an unConference in order to developer best workflows in creating citizen-centric innovation with efficiency, resilience (and from Site Reliability Engineering perspective), cost-effectiveness, scalability and other aspects. #PSIConference2024 is among my top 3 favorite conferences and here is why: 1. One gets to learn more about solutions created by innovators in the public sector to address and bring efficiency for citizens' needs. 2. Also most wonderful to gather insights on how public sector innovators are saving costs for government with the new solutions being brought about. 3. Not too academic (a blend is good though) but it has more of practitioners who speak on what has been done, lessons and at time, a call for collaborative efforts. 4. Very representative of the all spheres of government (at all levels) and of course, private sector stakeholders like ourselves feel most welcome too. I strongly recommend attending the conference (no attendance fee) in Durban, 21 - 22 August 2024.
