Kenny Trevino joined the San Antonio Spurs as a ball boy in 2012. He's worked his way up through the organization for over a decade, now the team's Head Video Coordinator. Next week, the 31-year-old will serve as the Spurs Summer League head coach. “My goal is to become a head coach someday… all I’m worried about now is being the best video coordinator.” #TheComeUp

Erik Spoelstra and Joe Mazulla comes to mind. It speaks highly of the franchise and how employees are provided a support system to grow and elevate their professional careers based on their interests within the organization.

The Spurs are a great feeder system in all areas. A lot of people view Sam Presti (myself included) as the best GM in the league, and he also came up the ranks with the Spurs as a Video Coordinator!! Shoutout to my Emerson College Alum!

Damn shame he couldn’t have accomplished that feat in with a good team like the mavericks.

Respect the hunger while at the same time being grounded and doing the best to his capabilities at his current role. Great example of an individual writing their own story.

We need more stories like Kenny’s. And Ben Zachariah I couldn’t agree more. The organization has to provide a culture and environment of growth. Bravo to Kenny 💯yet, bravo to The Spurs as well for giving him an opportunity to grow and get better.
