How do you run integration tests on an api that is protected with #EntraID? If you really want to test it, your tests need a secret to get a token and then for each tests, you will need to get a token. Maybe several if you want to test several user roles. I got this idea to create a small Entra emulation web api, inject an extra signing key in the metadata, and then being able to just request tokens for testing. When your web api starts, it will request openid connect configuration, one of the endpoints is the jwks endpoint. This holds all the signing keys that are used to validate Entra tokens. By injecting an extra signing certificate. We can create additional tokens during testing. Sounds interesting?
