"The Project Rebuild Small Business Grant was a generous and pleasant surprise for us at NG Cafe. We have a great ongoing experience being a part of the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce and receiving the grant was so timely. We recently completed a renovation at our cafe and the funds provided an extra cushion of safety as we had to close our business to complete the renovation. More specifically, the funds helped us cover the cost of new point-of-sale software and equipment set-up. This new system streamlined our online orders and in-store orders, giving us time to focus on more important tasks. We are so grateful to the donors and the GAACC for supporting small businesses like ours in Austin." - Duane Quach, Founder @ NG Cafe Interested in applying for the 2024 Project Rebuild Grant? How to make your $100 do wonders for our beloved city's small businesses?! When considering the best way to spend $100 in support of New York City's small businesses, here's my three-point guide Prioritize Variety: You can start by spreading your support among different sectors. Allocate portions of your budget to a local café, an independent bookshop, and perhaps a neighborhood artisan. This way, your $100 stimulates multiple facets of the local economy. Invest in Quality and Sustainability: Look for small businesses that offer quality products and prioritize sustainable practices. By choosing these businesses, your money not only supports the local economy but also encourages and sustains ethical business practices. Engage in Community Events: Many small businesses or groups host events or workshops. Use part of your $100 to participate in these. It's a way to directly inject cash into the business while also immersing yourself in the local culture and community. Spending your $100 wisely in support of small businesses isn't just about where the money goes but how it's used to sustain and grow the community we love. It's an investment in the neighborhood's future, the local economy, and the city's culture. Let's continue to uplift and support one another, making every dollar count towards a brighter, more vibrant New York City. Stay Zesty, my friends.

Bravo to Great Service & Great Support “The time is now to get started in government contracting. And we are here to support you, no matter the stage of your business. Contact our office to learn more about how your business can level up this year and add the government at your new favorite client!”
The small and diverse business community showed up big yesterday to discuss how to do business with Hudson, Essex, Mercer, Bergen and Middlesex County. These five New Jersey Counties each have a set-aside ordinance which requires the County to spend a certain percentage of its budget with small and diverse businesses. As the Director of the Hudson County Office of Business Opportunity, I am proud of the work myself, my team and my colleagues do everyday to support these small and diverse businesses as they navigate the world of government contracting. Over the past three years, our team has been to every corner of the State conducting outreach and supporting programs that support this community. 105 attendees on the first day of Summer means you have the community’s attention! And we are ready to do more! At the onset of the pandemic, these counties and the Apex Accelerator at NJIT, formed the Collaborative Exchange, working together to support the mission through an uncertain time. The Collaborative Exchange continues its work, hosting a seminar every third Thursday of the month. The time is now to get started in government contracting. And we are here to support you, no matter the stage of your business. Contact our office to learn more about how your business can level up this year and add the government at your new favorite client! Brits more aware of small businesses’ positive impact on local communities. A study by American Express shows that over the past 10 years, 70% of Britons have become more aware of the positive impact small businesses have on local communities. https://lnkd.in/d6dVrfzN This is something we recognise at DNAsix. Helping SMEs is not just good for for the business owners but it should also be good for the local economy as well as the planet.
