This is RWE! These 100 projects are under construction and don't include those going through early project development ("in the pipeline" so to speak) such as my Canopy Offshore Wind project at 1.6 GW, which is estimated to generate enough clean power for more than 600,000 homes. These were vague numbers in my head so I did some math this morning. To put this in perspective, if one assumes 2 people per household, 1.6 GW could power all the homes in the northern counties of California (Humboldt, Del Norte, Mendocino, Lake, Trinity, Siskiyou, Modoc, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, Plumas, Butte, Glenn, Colusa, Sutter, Yuba, Nevada, and Sierra), which have a combined population of about 1,048,000 according to 2022 US Census data. Just this one project now feels pretty powerful 💨
Can't stop, won't stop! We have 100 projects in 10 countries currently under construction. To put this into perspective: Those projects have a capacity totalling 7.8 gigawatts. And there is more to come, as we have a broad and deep development pipeline across all technologies and markets. This pipeline comprises projects with a total capacity of more than 100 GW, which puts us well on our way for ultimate goal of 65 gigawatts by the end of the decade.
This is incredible! Beautiful new developments
