The Paradigm Changers Internship program provides an opportunity for ethnically diverse college women to gain the skills, knowledge, and exposure needed to pursue a career in alternative investments. Each year, participants receive pre-internship training, career development sessions with industry leaders, and an 8-10 week paid internship at an alternative investment firm. "The best way, I think, for women of color to enter this industry is through the Paradigm Changers initiative," says Ivelisse Rodriguez Simon, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Avante Capital Partners. Avante, one of the largest women-owned private credit and structured equity firms in the U.S., is a Paradigm Changers host firm. Ivelisse believes the program creates value for host firms while providing a pathway for talented women to obtain careers in the industry. Happy Monday! As the inaugural post for the Diversity in Secondaries Initiative ("DISI"), I would like to say welcome. DISI is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting and elevating diverse professionals within the liquidity solutions market. Earlier today, I had the privilege of attending the Lehigh Valley Internship Summit by the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp.. 📚 It was a valuable experience to learn about how companies across our region, like EnerSys, are utilizing interns to drive strategic objectives.
