Sporting her PALACE GAP track jacket, Mia Kretzer from our community partner Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word (GN4LW) took to Venice with her friends in the organization to showcase their original style over their favorite pastime — skating in their local skate community. Mia is a true original. At only 9 years old, she is an emerging skating prodigy taking home Gold at this year's X Games, making her the youngest athlete to participate and receive a medal at the acclaimed sports event. To round out the Pride Month festivities, we joined The GenderCool Project to march with Equality Illinois at this year's Chicago Pride Parade, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and showcasing the importance of Pride all year long! Last week, our community partner The Brotherhood Sister Sol (BroSis) hosted their 19th annual Voices Gala. The event was a center for culture icons to come together in a collective stand for justice, access, equity and opportunity - an opportunity to bridge gaps and create a better world. Hosted by Hasan Minhaj and honoring both Ai-jen Poo and Billy Porter, the gala represented the power of community coming together for a shared purpose, raising over $1.9 million to serve our Black and Latinx youth in New York City. We are honored to have been in attendance and we're looking forward to seeing BroSis continuing to push towards a more just future for the youth!
