Garrett Albanese’s Post

Reposting for reach and sharing my experience. I worked with Garrett Albanese to help create "The Market" in the final year of Triad Retail. It was the first iteration of a #RetailMedia focused agency that worked with Brands across the Retail landscape, instead of just those retailers Triad had partnered with historically. We onboarded two clients before Triad was shuttered. It was a short-lived success but success none-the-less. A couple characteristics about Garret that stand out to me: 1. He is a great juggler - so many projects in the air 2. He is a great team motivator - his team always GSD 3. He's a "strategic connector" - pulling seemingly disparate pieces together in ways that made sense in the final product 4. Hot take: Don't make your unemployment your entire personal brand on LinkedIn. Listen - I was laid off before too, I get it. I am all for the #opentowork banner & for the initial post to your network letting them know you're looking for a role. However - Be cautious not to make every post about the fact that you're unemployed. Use some posts to write some thought leadership content about your area of expertise, contribute to some collaborative articles in your industry, and comment original thoughts on others' posts. When recruiters and hiring teams are looking at your profile, we want to see your passion and expertise for your work, not just your employment status.
