Reminds me of conversations that I have with clients. We do an audit of how they are and we look at: 👍 😐 👎 How are they are on a 1-10 💤 How their sleep has been 🥗 How's their eating been ☕ Have they been main-lining caffeine to get through 🚶♂️ Have they been getting out for a regular walk or exercise 🎧 📖 What have they been learning about recently 🕺 ⚽ 😄 How have they been switching off 💞 Have they spent much quality time with loved ones 🍻 How's the alcohol consumption been So, how have you answered these? The answers to these questions give us both an insight to how they are handling the pressures of their role. A negative for any of these can impact their ability to do their job, to make good judgments, and have the energy to lead. If we can get these foundations right then it makes leading so much easier. The great news is that many of these things are all under our control. Spotting the levers that they can pull along with a bit of gentle nudging (or a shoulder barge as one of my clients called it) from me enables them to quickly see the impact in the way they lead. What’s the best business to be in , in 2024?

The worry I have with these online events is that everyone is on their own, in their own house, and I can’t see how things are going, which means I can’t adjust my delivery to suit in response, and then, when we finish, everyone logs off and is on their own to deal with what we’ve just been through.
